We had the good fortune of connecting with Anastasia Rine and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Anastasia, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
In the past couple of years, I have struggled with finding the balance between work and life. I just recently started getting it back. I think finding time to relax, creating space for new ideas and creativity, as well as helping to allow the abundance to freely come your way instead of forcing it. I believe maintaining real life connections as well as spending time with your family are as important as working on your professional growth. I believe that spending time in nature and reconnecting with the natural environment around you can be a very strong way to reset the stress an anxiety one can face with trying to find balance.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
`I am a model and social media influencer, I am very passionate about my job. It allows me to express myself freely and explore my creative visions, I am proud to be able to be my own boss and bring my ideas to life. Either it would be a photoshoot that I am creatively directing myself, YouTube video ideas, or designing my own clothing line. I started with taking lifestyle/fashion pictures for my instagram and that’s how I grew my beginning audience. Shortly after, photographers would reach out to me to do shoots together. After months of collaborating with photographers on professional shoots, I became a full time freelance model and was able to book real paid jobs and make a living out of it. I would not say it was easy because I did have to put a lot of work especially for the first 3 years because making the right connections and fully learning the industry takes time. Overcoming obstacles brings a sense of achievement and builds character. As you get stronger, you don’t get put down by obstacles. In Fact obstacles motivate you even harder to achieve success. If everything was easy, you would not feel so much enjoyment once you get to your goal. The most important lesson I learned is to set up boundaries and never do what other people are asking of me if it doesn’t align with my values.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First things first, I would take them to The Getty to show the beautiful panoramic view of the city as well as nice architecture and art present at the museum. After that, we would go to Santa Monica to the True Food Kitchen restaurant. I like them for their variety of vegetarian options. We would also check out the Santa Monica Pier to enjoy the various rides, games, and views from the ferris wheel. The following day, we would go on a hike to the Hollywood sign via the Cahuenga Peak Trail then to my favorite part of LA……Sherman Oaks to have a dinner at La Petit. The next day, we would go to the Huntington Library and see the various botanical gardens and then to an early dinner at Bacari in Silver Lake to enjoy the live music and atmosphere. On the fourth day, we could spend it in Malibu. We would get brunch at Malibu Farm Pier Cafe and then we would go to the Point Dume and watch the sunset from the El Matador State Beach. To conclude Day 4, we would eat dinner at Nobu. On Day 5, we would make a trip to Joshua Tree National Park and pass my favorite windmills on the way to take some pictures. We would stay the night in the area so we could drive to Laguna Beach the next day. Day 6, explore all the different little beaches along the coast and grab a lunch at the Montage hotel to enjoy all the beautiful views. On the last day we could make a trip to Catalina Island and do some paddle boarding, kayaking, and exploring Avalon.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Justin Lubert. He has been very instrumental in my success and professional growth. I will never forget the amount of support, love, and encouragement he has shown me in my endeavors.
