Meet Alexander Savitskiy | Executive producer at T-VFX

We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexander Savitskiy and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alexander, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I believe that every successful business is just the result of a combination of circumstances. When we met with my business partner Dmitry Venikov 21 years ago, I thought that was a good opportunity to build up a real business with a group of 12 artists. Now we have an international company with more than 120 people working in different countries. But, honestly, it all happened in a spontaneous way, when you just follow your destiny while trying not to get drawn. The fact is that we were always inspired by the idea of making brilliant computer graphics and getting talented artists united under one strong brand. So we were simply doing everything we could to achieve those goals and never stopped when faced with difficulties.

What should our readers know about your business?
Our company was founded in 1996 so we can proudly say that we are true pioneers of the CGI industry and one of the most experienced European companies at this field. The idea behind it was to unite talented Eastern European artists to work for the most notable international projects. Can’t say that it was easy. As an independent company we faced many difficulties during these years but we were always surrounded by people who shared the same values that helped us to stay united even in stressful situations like global economic crisis, pandemic, strikes and political uncertainty.
All this made us different from many others and very open minded, we were always happy to experiment with new technologies like Unreal Engine and AI, implementing them in our existing pipeline. We believe that Eastern Europe and has a big number of gifted CG artists that may provide a new creative vision and updated technical solutions for the advertising and film industries.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We live in a Newport Beach area and probably it can be too quiet here for my some of my friends. But I’ll definitely recommend to rent a small boat for a two hour trip around Balboa island. Watching sunset at Inspiration point (Corona Del Mar) – is also something that you can’t miss,. And of course famous dinners at our house, that are well known for fantastic home cuisine – thanks to my wife Misha.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
It’s 100% clear that in a business there can’t be a successful individual, it is all about teamwork. I was lucky to work with the most talented artists from Eastern Europe, but if we’ll get an Oscar someday, I’ll definitely thank every single team member, starting from the couriers and cleaners at our offices and ending with my dear partners. Our success is a result of the fantastic atmosphere and real “brotherhood” that we have at T-VFX.
