We had the good fortune of connecting with Benny Borsakian and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Benny, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Starting a business can be terrifying. Must weigh the pros and cons, the risks, and other considerations can be so , but at one time in my life I was hungry. It was a terrible feeling. And I was always thinking that if I ever make enough money,, I would love to feed people. Makes me happy to see people eat

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Our business Bennys Tacos was created due to the love of feeding people, and love Mexican food. I got very lucky to put an ad in the newspaper for a manager/ chef and i got lucky. 1 person showed up and we clicked . Had the same ideas . Honestly we had no challenges at all. We created a very simple business , serving fresh food and making food only per order. As simple as that. Later I got 2 partners that helped Bennnys tacos and i to go to the next level. My partners Darius and Josh were super help in getting Bennys tacos where is at now.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love boating. So I would take a helicopter trip to Catalina Island, rent a house with a golf cart so we can explore the island. Have food at the club a night, in town the next and maybe cook a little on the beach. Wonderful barbecue area by the cove. Rent a boat go fishing, scuba and have many drinks . Massage next day at Viscanio beach and a nice boat trip back to Los Angeles

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
All our employees that work very hard, and give us all they got. They work long hours, come in early for their shift and some leave home very late I would like to thank all our employees from the dishwasher to the cooks, preps, cashier and managers. There would be no Benny’s Tacos without them.
