We had the good fortune of connecting with Greona Boisseau and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Greona, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I’m a licensed cosmetologist originally from Trenton, New Jersey. I moved to California about 7 years ago and worked in the hair industry for 11 years. I loved doing hair but didn’t feel fulfilled. I decided to focus on waxing because I wanted to provide a consistent, clean, professional and knowledgeable wax experience for all.

Body waxing is a lifestyle and the most effective way to remove unwanted hairs from the body. It shouldn’t come with unnecessary pain, irritation or breakouts. I would hear so many stories of unbearable pain, ingrown hairs and discomfort. Men would want to be serviced and turned down because most establishments only service women. I always tell my clients you should be just as selective with your wax specialist as you are with any specialist.

While waxing has been around since 1150 BC. Since trending, the art has been completely lost. I’m here to bring the sophistication and artistry back to body waxing treatments. Waxing to me is clean, smooth, elegant and effective.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Studio 143 Body Wax Experience is a private, boutique-style waxing studio. Located in Downtown, Los Angeles. I provide body waxing treatments as well as body skincare. I’ve created a waxing technique that makes your treatment more comfortable. This technique uses both hard and soft wax. I service both men and women because everyone deserves a great waxing experience.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’m extremely grateful God is using me to make others feel good and revealing my clients most beautiful skin. I remember working long and hard at a career I wasn’t happy in. I’m grateful to now love what I do and to watch it love me right back. God gets all the glory and praise.
