We had the good fortune of connecting with Kristi Chaves and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kristi, what do you attribute your success to?
I run a business because I truly love people. I believe that we all have a core need to feel deeply connected to one another and at the root of many of our challenges comes from a disconnect of genuine human connection. Growing up in such a conscious loving family home I was always imprinted on the value of another human being for who they really are & holding loving belief in their full potential. This has now become the heart of my business, truly connecting with incredible humans, & making the relationships with my clients more important than money & sales. Although this is important the core of business to truly help people thrive in themselves, their lives & their businesses.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I never thought my unusual childhood would lead me to the success I have now. Growing up with two entrepreneur yet conscious parents I didn’t have a typical childhood. While other kids were eating Oreos I was drinking green juices at age 7 and learning how to self-regulate my nervous system with breathing. Although as a child I felt so embarrassed for my unusual experiences, at 21 years old I was beginning my entrepreneurial journey because of my radical childhood. By age 21 I knew who I was as an adult, embodied my worth & had someone approach me asking me to coach his son based on the example of how I was living my life. That is when my coaching career began. The truth is business hasn’t been a hard journey because I had guidance, I trusted myself & knew how to hold for my emotional range while steadily taking action. Being an entrepreneur is about mastering the art of yourself. Every uncomfortable conversation became my teacher, every unknown step became an opportunity to trust myself. I look back now running a multi six figure coaching business helping so many amazing humans transform themselves while growing their business’s & creating a life of wealth. This journey is the greatest gift, not because of the results but because it has grown me as a human being & now I get to guide others in the same way. How to use business as a personal growth opportunity & continue to intentionally craft their lives in a way of deep alignment with themselves.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I have been an LA baby my whole life & always will be. If I had a friend in town the first place we would go is Urth Cafe to grab our Spanish Latte & then walk down to Santa Monica beach to take a nice long beach along the water. Listening to our favorite personal growth podcast & admiring the beauty of the beach. We would spend hours there enjoying the beach, swimming in the ocean, and heading out to paddle board to connect deeper with nature. We then go rent some bikes and take a nice long ride down to marina del ray & stop for lunch at Chulita in Venice. We would stop by Pause studio for a cold plunge & sauna then make it back to Pacific Palisades bluffs for a beautiful sunset view. My family would join for the day & we would jam to music, laughing the whole time.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My shoutout is to my amazing mother, Mariane Karou. the founder of Dance Alive. My business wouldn’t be where it is without her consistent belief, guidance & utter dedication to her life path. She showed me how to love life & be as committed to my own calling as I did. My Mom has built a completely referral-only business for the past 50 years because of her dedication & care. This has now become the heart of my business and I thank her every day for guiding me along my path.
