“Never wish life were easier. Wish that you were better.” — Jim Rohn As an entrepreneur, there’s so much to learn outside of your area of expertise. Marketing, bookkeeping, social media – it’s easy to feel overwhelmed at times and think, “I just want to help writers with their scripts and write my books, this is too much!” I keep this quote on my fridge to remind myself to get just a little bit better at one thing every day. Every time I see it, it also reminds me that fate will step in when you least expect it. I found that quote on the tag of my Good Earth tea bag – how random is that? We hang this quote every where we go and live by its premise. Who knew that by opening your heart, the lives of many could change. An industry will change and these roots will spring up in all directions. BECAUSE I ROCK is a crystal company founded on a good deed. We are best friends, Jazmin & Ivy, who encountered a stranded driver in the woods of Mt. Shasta. He was desperate for help, so we helped. Just that simple. I LOVE the saying by Jasmine Star, “take messy action.” To me, this means that you shouldn’t let fear or perfectionism hold you back. If I were to always wait to take action until I felt 100% comfortable that I knew all of the answers or the perfect outcome of my actions I wouldn’t make any progress. As a business owner, you need to be willing to take risks. Do your homework, study, research, and discuss ideas with mentors and peers BUT then you have to get going.
