Meet Kate Shevko | Movie actress

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kate Shevko and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kate, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I just did tons of self-tapes.) That’s the secret.

For 2 years I made about 250-300 self-tapes for completely different roles: episode, lead, with text, without text, monologues, dialogues, comedy, drama. I was so passionate and ready to work with any material. And then it happened, directors started to book me and I got my first roles.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would start our day in Urth cafe on Main street. That’s my favourite coffee shop in the city. Their terrace, tables and open doors with sunlight passing through reminds me of a morning in Paris.

After coffee and breakfast we would rent roller skates and skate along the winding road from Venice beach to Santa Monica.

Then we would go to Sunset blvd. I think it’s the most picturesque street in Los Angeles. And sure I would show my friend the Walk of Fame and Hollywood sign on the hills. Although I don’t really like the Walk of Fame myself, I can’t ignore the fact that it’s the calling card of the city.

And if it’s Sunday, we would visit Melrose flea market and have lunch in Norms diner in la Cienega blvd. Or we would grab a couple of Hot Dogs at Pink’s.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mother. She always supports me. She’s like my best friend and my true fan.
