Meet Kaylene Bondoc | Founder of Still In Motion Agency

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kaylene Bondoc and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kaylene, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
As a young girl, I’ve always dreamt of working in the Music/Entertainment Industry. My thought process behind starting Still In Motion Agency was to follow my dreams and continue to pursue my happiness. My Partner, Christian Lopez, and I started Still In Motion Agency to help independent artists find their way to navigate such a competitive industry. Since Christian & I value the thought of helping others, we continued to come up with ideas to grow a relation with each artists we work with to know that there’s another source that is wanting to help their careers in a supportive & positive way.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Before starting Still In Motion Agency, Jianna Avila & I worked for another start up music company that branched different genres, ideas, and work environments. As the previous company continued along in their own ways, I wanted to start a company that moreso benefitted the artists’ creativity & art versus the aspect of finances & control. Still In Motion Agency started with one Artist, JayRome ( Jarom Unga ), and one Creative, Christian Lopez. Us three started and foreseen that we wanted more people to be apart of our Camp. We continued to get people who were on the same mind-set & wave as us, Caleb Manalo ( TikTok Music Curator & Manager ) and Carlisa Yabut ( Supported Help For Creatives / Creative Director ) and SaintJayP ( Second Artist to Join ).
Then came along the rest of the team as listed in the shoutouts which grew our company even bigger and better.

Obviously, it’s very difficult to start any business and believe me, being a student at 22 and running a business full time is very time consuming but at the end of the day, with the positive reinforcement given from others outside of the business, it’s pushed each and everyone of us to keep going.

The challenges faced with any beginning stages of starting a business is finances coming out of your own pocket, branching your name out to stand out, and the work-life balance. In all honestly, I still don’t know how to balance everything but with a positive mind-set, all you can do is push through the temporary downfalls and bring yourself up.

The lessons I have learned as a Business Owner is our mental health is the biggest thing to overcome and get through. Still In Motion Agency is very vocal about handling our mental health first & foremost due to the drainage this industry can potentially put you in. My team & I do this because we are passionate about our skills & careers, I would hate for anyone to lose their passions due to it being implemented as a job. Therefore, for anyone starting their Business, your mental & emotional health is just as important than your business succeeding.

Still In Motion Agency is an Independent Artist/Creative agency that supports one another in order to succeed in our careers. We created a system where we have the sources to elevate careers by providing the correct resources & guidance. Not only does Still In Motion handle Music Careers, we as well have a Production Team that consists of Creative Direction, Directors, Graphic Designers, Creative Editors, and Creative Producers. We envision Still In Motion Agency to show clients we have an all around system to assist with anything Creatively & Business Supported. My team and I dream to be the next Business to have a positive impact in the music industry.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

A club our artists perform and throw events at is The Circle OC in Huntington Beach & we attend any events our fellow promotion group friends host ( Peaking Duck Group & OnSet Events )
A popular spot our team likes to attend is Rewind OC due to mutual friend groups that drink, lounge, and party there.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My teams efforts is everything I can ask for. To have a group of Creative young adults beside me and rooting me on is the best thing I can possibly ask for.
