We had the good fortune of connecting with Cash Campain and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cash, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?

“If you never quit, you never lose.”

I’ve always found this quote to be profound because in many ways it is absolutely true. When you’re on a journey in life, sometimes quitting is the only way you lose. In sports it may be different, but when you’re pursuing a goal like creative success, a degree, or mastering a new skill you only really lose when you quit. All of the time that you spend pursuing the goal contributes to the 10,000 hours needed to master the skills needed to succeed.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.

My art is impactful. I don’t want to make it sound like I just singing or writing songs. I’ve been at this for a while, and along the way I’ve been fortunate to create multiple short films, a book, and 13 studio albums. I believe what sets my art apart from the rest of the world is that it comes through me and my unique worldview.

All I’ve ever tried to do is create from a genuine place, and give people something to connect with while they processed the many different seasons of life. I think I’ve done that so far, and I’ve got a lot more left in me.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

If my best friend came to the area I would suggest spending a lot of time in the West Hollywood and Beverly Hills regions. Then we would have to get at least one day in at the Newport Beach pier.

I’ve always been a fan of Southern California bougie behavior. It reminds me of being a kid and watching TV shows where people were driving around fancy SoCal neighborhoods with their sunglasses on and the top dropped on a red Corvette. I would head over to Rodeo Drive to window shop (because I’m just going to buy the items on Amazon later), hit Sunset boulevard to have lunch at “The Butcher, The Baker, The Cappuccino Maker”, and then drinks with the homies going into the evening.

The next day would be spent near the Newport Beach pier. We would definitely have to grab a burger, do some fishing, and enjoy taking in views on the beach. The perfect balance of upscale living, good food, nature, and relaxation.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to shout out my family, the Bad Boy Gang, and every person that I’ve been blessed to collaborate with along my creative journey. Whether it was for my music, my books, or the visuals I’ve been fortunate enough to create, I’ve worked with so many incredible people, and had my loved ones in my corner every step of the way.
