Meet Adrian Ong | Boudoir, Glamour and Underwater Portrait Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Adrian Ong and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Adrian, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Scarlett Boudoir Studio started back in 2020 during the Pandemic when I met Anjellie, and she wanted to do a portrait session. I was curious to see what she had in mind, so she said she wanted to do a Boudoir session. Instinctively, I asked more questions and found out why she wanted to do the session, so we agreed to photograph her. The session changed her point of view in life, and it made her feel better and confident.
After that, I asked my wife if we could open up the business of offering self-love and empowerment photo sessions for women and men, and she said yes. My wife’s support and understanding have allowed me to help people see themselves in a different light and give them the best experience in a boudoir session.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Let me take you on a journey into my world and share what makes Scarlett Boudoir stand out.
What sets us apart? It’s the passion that fuels every frame and the dedication to capturing the essence of beauty in its purest form. At Scarlett Boudoir, we create timeless art that celebrates the unique allure of every individual.
My journey here? Oh, it’s been a thrilling ride, filled with self-doubt being a male boudoir photographer and a kaleidoscope of emotions. Was it easy? Well, let’s just say it was a rollercoaster of challenges and victories. But each obstacle was a stepping stone, not a stumbling block.
Overcoming challenges? Perseverance and a sprinkle of creative magic. There were moments when the lighting seemed dim, but I learned to dance with shadows and turn them into a part of the narrative. Every setback was an opportunity to learn and evolve.
Lessons learned along the way? Trust the process, embrace the journey, and never underestimate the power of a perfectly framed moment. Life may not always be in sharp focus, but that’s where the beauty lies – in the imperfections.
What makes me proud? The ability to freeze moments in time creating a visual symphony that resonates with the soul. It’s the joy reflected in the eyes of those who see themselves through my lens, realizing their own unique beauty.
So, what do I want the world to know about Scarlett Boudoir Studio? We’re not just photographers; we’re storytellers. We create photos with our heart, we weave tales of empowerment, self-love, and the celebration of the human form. It’s not just about capturing images; it’s about capturing the spirit.
In the grand tapestry of life, Scarlett Boudoir is a vibrant thread, adding color and depth to the narrative of self-discovery. Join us, and let’s create magic together. Because there’s a story waiting to be told, and we’re here to tell it with passion, grace, and a touch of that Scarlett magic.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to thank my wife Christie, and my son Sebastian. They are the reason why I became a photographer, and they inspire me to be better each day. Their support is what fuels me to reach my potential.
I also would like to give a shout-out to Meg Dela Cruz who introduced me to Anjellie and who also made my beautiful company logo. She was the way for me to have my first official client regarding the Boudoir genre.
