We had the good fortune of connecting with Nikki Corzine and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nikki, what’s your definition for success?
I believe true success is about finding contentment, balance, and fulfillment in all aspects of life.

I feel success is the ability to feel a sense of peace and satisfaction with the present moment and a capacity to appreciate life’s simple pleasures.

As a parent, success is measured by the fulfillment found in raising and nurturing your child. It’s about being there for important times, teaching them important things, and creating a loving and supportive environment for their growth and development. Leaving them feeling truly understood and deeply loved.

In my workplace, success is closely connected to the accomplishments of my team. Being a successful leader means helping my team to succeed and reach their goals. Creating a collaborative and supportive work atmosphere.

Having peace of mind is crucial for success. Managing stress and building resilience, even during the toughest times. Real success is about finding inner peace and emotional well-being.

In summary, success is complex and can be experienced in various aspects of our lives. It is about finding contentment and balance, experiencing fulfillment as a parent, seeing your team succeed, having peace of mind, and achieving your goals. When all these factors come together, a person can truly feel a complete sense of success, including both personal satisfaction and professional accomplishments.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am a hairstylist with 25 years of experience and the proud owner of Canyon Salon and Extension Bar for over 11 years. Our salon’s foundation of family friendliness was laid by my aunt, the founder, and I am honored to carry on her legacy. Despite challenges like three COVID-related shutdowns and a salon flood, my strong, supportive and talented team and I persevered and emerged even stronger. Our positive and joyful energy fills the salon, and our clients experience it as soon as they walk through the doors. I am also the founder of Amai Beauty, a hair and skin product line that I’m incredibly proud of. These products are remarkable! While the salon is the hub and original home, I am eager for a broader audience to discover them. Amai Beauty was founded with the purpose of offering high-performing, clean products. I was weary and concerned about using some of the toxic ingredients found in many products. Our formulator, one of my partners, is a true genius in his craft. The most recent addition has been to add an extension bar to the salon which felt like a natural step, and our passionate specialists are making it a success. We are more than just a small business—we are a force filled with talented individuals, and we are always evolving. I can’t wait to see what 2024 brings!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
A special acknowledgment goes out to my aunt Sharon, my mentor, who not only believed in my ability to excel but also provided me with the tools to do so.

The book “Zombie Loyalists” was pivotal for me in understanding the importance of excellent customer service.
