We had the good fortune of connecting with Emily Bolt and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Emily, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
One of my favorite quotes that I turn to the most is “this too shall pass.” Whether it’s good or bad, it will pass. It reminds me to not stress too much when things are overwhelming, and to cherish moments of happiness.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’ve been acting as long as I can remember. I knew I wanted to be a mom one day, but being an actor seemed to make that dream almost impossible. When I decided to start a family regardless, I knew I had so many questions for other parents and that I probably wasn’t alone. So I began Mommywood, the podcast that looks behind the scenes of moms in the entertainment industry.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We love to go to the movies! Universal city walk and park is such a blast, and of course in LA you have to visit the beach and go for a hike.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
To all the parents out there in the entertainment industry pursuing their careers and making it work. Showing our kids to persevere and follow their dreams is so powerful.
