Meet Tracie Kesatie | Certified Gentle Sleep Coach & Experienced mom of four

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tracie Kesatie and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tracie, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I have always had a love for helping other people. I have my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and my Master’s Degree in Counseling and I spent nearly 5 years working with cancer patients before having my first born. After having my oldest child and discovering how a good night’s sleep led to a happier home, I realized that a career as a Certified Gentle Sleep Coach would not only tap into my strengths and skill set, but as a mom I knew it would allow me to create my own schedule so that I could spend time with my kids. That was when Rest Well Baby was born.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am a Certified Gentle Sleep Coach with over nine years of professional experience, and I am the founder of Rest Well Baby. I am also the proud mom of four children with over 17 years of parenting experience.
I work with families that have little ones 0-10 years of age providing supportive sleep solutions, non-judgmental educational information, and compassionate support. I specialize in creating personalized, adaptive sleep plans. It’s definitely not a one-size-fits-all approach. Furthermore, I foster a welcoming conversation so that everyone is on the same page, and I share from my education, track record, and vast experience to help each family reach their sleep goals.
Building a business from the ground up takes time, determination, and flexibility. There are definitely some growing pains along the way. I have had to pivot and try different things over the past nine years in order to figure out what works and what serves my clients the best. I continue to make adaptions to my business model since the wants and needs of the families I serve change over time.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
It’s been a minute since I’ve been able to play tourist in Los Angeles, but when friends/family have come to town in the past I always love going to places like the Getty Center for the views, Beverly Hills for shopping and eating, Hollywood to see the sights, Universal Studios, the beach (if the weather is nice) and a stars tour is always fun.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family is my rock! They are not only supportive, but they are a sounding board and my guiding light. Without them none of this would be possible.
