Meet Alan-Timoteo Villon | Content Creator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Alan-Timoteo Villon and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alan-Timoteo, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Life is all about taking risks, you only get one shot at life so might as well live it up and do the things that light your fire. As an individual who always played it safe, I hit a point where I wanted to start challenging myself and putting myself in uncomfortable situations in order to grow. That’s when I decided that I no longer wanted to only consume content, but I wanted to be a part of the community. So I worked hard, stayed consistent with posting, starting networking with other creators, went to events in order to gain best practices to succeed, and most importantly, I believed in myself. Before I knew it, I was no longer an audience member, I was a player in this industry. Things that made my uncomfortable at first, became comfortable.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I have been doing content creation for the last 5 years, but have taken it seriously in the past year. I always had a very busy/creative mind, and wanted to do it all, so that’s exactly what I did. I began telling myself, “why limit yourself to one trait when you can do many.” My content consist of everything from skincare, beauty, fashion, cooking, lifestyle, however, I do everything with a comedic twist. Becoming a content creator wasn’t easy, it has been a journey. The hardest part of getting started in this field was figuring out what type of content I wanted to create, and how I was going to separate myself from others. In the beginning I often times found myself trying fit in or be like other creators, but I found more success in being authentic and myself. Everybody has a story, everybody has talents, and yeah there might be other creators who do similar content to yours or mine, but no one does it like you.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I tend to find myself being on the go a lot, and trying to do everything in one day! If I were to show some one around the city I would start off our day with a hike, possibly the hike to the Hollywood Sign. After that I would grab us some breakfast to go, possibly some chilaquiles or breakfast burritos from a local mom and pop restaurant, with warm cup of Cafe De Olla to give us energy throughout the day. Then we’ll head to check out the Griffith Observatory, and admire the beautiful view of Los Angeles. Once we are done with some sight seeing we would head out to grab another small bite to eat, as you can tell I am a foodie, at one of my favorite auga chilies spots in East Los Angeles called Mariscos Lindas. To finish off the day, I would get spiffed up and head to Downtown Los Angeles to finish off the night at Fun Times at Davey Waynes, that place always has the best drinks, ambiance and vibes.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
One person who has impacted my life/story tremendously would have to be my husband Ruben Hernandez-Villon (@rubenhndzv). He has been there through all my success in my career, along with some of my hardships. Through all that he has always been my number one fan, and rooting for me.
