We had the good fortune of connecting with Mars (Lindalee) Rose and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mars (Lindalee), what is the most important factor behind your success?
Engagement with fans, along with consistency is key. Its hard to always be on top of trends and exhausting to keep up with the fads and fashions, so it’s important to carve your niche and just focus on that, to find your core audience and build off of them.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
At the age of 4 and 1/2 I started covering Hollywood red carpets, something that was a rarity 11 years ago. My outgoing personality, sense of humor and genuine knowledge of the subjects I was reporting on, established me right away as a unique asset that studios, networks and agencies could collaborate with to reach a younger demographic in a fun and relatable way. Along the way there have been many struggles due to finances, time, opportunities, moments of low viewership and responses, but we’ve worked thru and stayed focussed. My Dad really kept going and never gave up, and in those moments he was so ready to throw in the towel, we’d get that phone call to be flown out someplace, or nab an exclusive interview or be asked to be a part of a new project, so the universe always reeled us back in whenever we had doubts and challenges. As far as lessons I’ve learned along the way…well, nothing lasts forever. You have to find new things and grow yourself, just as your audience and fans grow. Certainly I’ve had a loyal fan base who still to this day watch my videos, like my social media posts and continue to comment and show support…11 years later. Thats so amazing. I think the world should know that it’s all about growth and finding your audience and experimentation with your content. I love the fact that my siblings have found their own niche on our own channel and their own interests to report or entertain our viewers. Years of creations have influenced new inspirations. as we’ve grown from a channel all about me, to a family channel that involves my younger siblings and at times, even my parents get in on the fun too!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
This is so relatable because my best friend Abigail Zoe Lewis JUST did come out to see me in Connecticut this past Summer, visiting from Southern California. I haven’t seen her since we moved ourselves from Los Angeles to New England just over 2 years ago. Now, living about an hour from New York City we went to see some Broadway shows, went thrifting, visited real-life inspirations for The Gilmore Girls TV show (that we both love) here in Connecticut, and even shot a YouTube segment together for my channel at Legoland New York…which was a total throw back to when her and I used to collaborate and shoot segments for our YouTube channels with Legoland in San Diego, CA. Of course, Connecticut has some of the best wood-fire pizza you’ll find anywhere, plus some wonderfully unique places to go shopping, or to pick fresh produce from local farms, or get some fresh ice-cream from a local family creamery. If we’re planning a trip into New York, you HAVE to go to Times Square and check out all the signs and themed stores, fit in a Broadway show, venture into Little Italy or Chinatown, ride the subway, head over to Rockefeller Center and go skating or pop into FAO Schwarz to play with some toys!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My Dad (Steve) gets the #1 spot for a thank you. His vision and passion to create a brand around who I was at such a young age was amazing. His connections in Hollywood opened up doors and presented opportunities to us that helped gain us credibility and validation by movie studios, TV networks and entertainment agencies that we still work with to this day. He is a hustler and works around the clock to find us fun family-friendly content related collaborations for us to shoot/create. I also would love to do a quick shout out to the ‘Miraculers’ (the community of ‘Miraculous Ladybug’ fans), who have been so supportive of me the past 7 years. Lastly, I can’t forget the ‘Whovians’ (the community of ‘Doctor Who’ fans) who also helped me during my early years to grow. Those 2 fan bases helped build the identity, brand and style of content creation that 11 years later, at the age of 15 & 1/2 I’m now continuing to do, but with my younger siblings by my side in the process.
