We had the good fortune of connecting with Jordan Auten and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jordan, what matters most to you?
This is a wonderful question. I value vulnerability, resilience, and integrity both on a personal level, as a Founder/CEO, and as a leader in a community. On a human and soul level, this relates to how I inner relate to myself, how I hear myself and my thoughts, which directly relates to how I feel about myself. Our relationship with ourselves is the number one priority because it allows us to cultivate healthy relationships with others and things. We must remember that we have relationships with people, our environment, mind, body, soul, nature, animals, and things. Having a healthy relationship with ourselves is reflected in the reality we create. We are empowered manifesting co-creators that can actualize the life we desire that is rooted in self love, self worth, and the belief in oneself. Vulnerability embodies strength, creates honesty with ourselves to go within and take inventory of what is working for us and what is not. If there is something we can powerfully take responsibility for that needs to change because it is not serving our best and highest good, we have the sovereignty to change it, improve and become better. We are in a constant state of evolution which requires surrendering and trusting the process of change because we are meant to learn and grow. In result, what is best for our highest good essentially is best for all involved. That is unity consciousness, something we are returning to and remembering as who we naturally are, which benefits us all on a personal level, as Founders/CEO’s, community leaders, and beyond. Resilience is a gift because when we go within, we remember who we are as beautiful and unique individuals regardless of what is happening in our lives. It’s the resilience we emanate from within that allows us to confront our own limitations and obstacles so that we can evolve and step into our power and freedom. Resilience is an essence of our empowerment and freedom that is linked to the natural resources we have within. Integrity is about doing good, doing the right thing, especially when no one is looking. We all face integrity through the lens of our flaws and imperfections because again, much can happen in our lives that we create so that we can reflect and learn lessons that lead us back to our refined and aligned selves; the essence of who we are. Integrity is associated with self respect and self worth, which begins with being honest with ourselves. This allows us to confront where we may be interacting dishonestly to self whether we are conscious of it or not. How often do we acquiesce to the other(s) in order to avoid conflict, which essentially disserves our self worth. For some, these may be abstract words and thoughts, but essentially what I am saying is that when we are honest with ourselves about our chosen thoughts, values, belief systems, and actions, we can recognize and realize the moments that are divinely guided and soul led. We powerfully take responsibility for our energy and choices. This allows us to objectively view our life’s path and circumstances that become a part of our journey leading us to wisdom. Furthermore, having self awareness and responsibility of our integrity allows for forgiveness of self and others when choices are made both intentionally and unintentionally. To have integrity is to have self respect, self worth, and honesty as a value of self. To hold this value for ourselves from within, we attract others who have the same. Humans are flawed and imperfect. We are here to learn. Vulnerability, resilience, and integrity are values I hold near and dear to my heart because they create a pathway for evolution to take place and divine guidance to take form. In result, I can be the best person, Founder/CEO, and leader within my friend circles, family, and community.

What should our readers know about your business?

We are entering a new renaissance where people are individuating as souls in human form with many talents and natural gifts they carry within that are steering away from traditional perspectives. There is no one way and there is no one size that fits all. Communities are rising up and actualizing as a way to empower individuals to return to their sovereignty, connect and to reclaim their nature and essence of self. Yoniswell Surf Collective maintains its essence as a space and community to help others heal and empower themselves, their soul through the sport of surfing; their divine connection to the ocean and nature. However, we have expanded and are evolving by returning to our nature as a messenger through telling the inspiring stories about individuals, communities, and brands as a way to inspire and create a positive impact on the world. Yoniswell continues to lead surf, yoga, and health & wellness retreats around the world as a way to connect individuals through community; a way to restore. In congruence with maintaining our essence, Yoniswell is operating as a boutique production company who values community, connection, transformation, and sustainability. Our body of work relates to healing, inclusivity, empowerment, and soul as we are hired by brands who align with our values to create content that empowers their vision to thrive. Our clients are within the realm of surf, sports, health, wellness, transformation, soul, and sustainability. We are the conduit for telling the stories about the who behind the what. Who are they and how are they creating a positive impact in the world? We highlight their imprint as an empowering and inspiring way to shed light on community, increase sales, and clientele while promoting the mission and brand. This is a unique and empowering way to feature your brand through inspiring stories.

The lessons and wisdom I have learned as a person who was experiencing my own healing and empowering journey of the soul that Yoniswell so beautifully supported are related to looking within and accessing my own natural resources. My journey relates to confronting self doubt and inner dynamics associated with feeling insecure about my ability and worth to self actualize my desires. This leads us back to my original statement about being vulnerable. Vulnerability is one of our greatest virtues and strengths that allows us to confront and rise above our own limitations that are often based on unconscious and expired beliefs that hold no value or truth. As I have healed and transmuted lower expressions into higher expressions of self, I have evolved and empowered myself into the person I am today and who I naturally am. Versus who I was conditioned to believe I am. Conditions must be discerned as we age and mature because oftentimes the conditions projected upon us and who and what life we are expected to live is most likely not who we naturally are and perhaps based on false beliefs. As I have evolved, so has Yoniswell. Through the formation of Yoniswell, I have learned, grown and and embraced so many new and natural talents and gifts I hold within my natural resources of self. I am now able to harness and secure all of my natural talents with my new and refined talents. I have 20 + years of experience as a director and producer in the TV, Film, and Branded Content industry. It has been a soul mission since the age of 16 to direct and create content that evokes social and positive change that creates a positive impact on the world. With Yoniswell CREATIVE and its evolution, I am able to now step into this long term role. To be a conduit in fulfilling the need for this type of content. Through my experience in creating the healing and empowering space of Yoniswell Surf Collective, I have been pursuing my role as a wellness coach and in the process of completing a Master’s degree as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. The next Renaissance is here, the Age of Aquarius where there is no one path, but multiple paths for us to take on as our own and to self actualize. My soul mission is my desire to live a quality life, to lead by example, and to be of service. I am VERY excited about the journey myself and Yoniswell are on from a holistic and long term perspective. These are long term visions and goals that I believe in because they come from within that are connected to source and life force energy. They are inspiring visions that have a need to be present in today’s society and I’m honored to experience what is to come.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
What a fun question! If I’m among surfers, checking out the surf report and getting a session in would be the first thing we do! Chasing waves is something we can enjoy. There are multiple options. I would recommend we start with a morning yoga and or fitness class at my favorite spot, Camp in Santa Monica. It is like being at summer camp as adults on the property of a fitness playground. It’s fun and the vibe is vibrant and freeing for the inner child! Next, we can have breakfast at a long time country diner called S&W near Sony Studios that feels like we are in a different timeline and food is always delicious. For a midday stroll to walk off the hardy breakfast, I love walking from the Venice Lifeguard Headquarters to the Marina. It’s a beautiful walk and anytime the ocean is near, we absorb her healing properties! Following this, I love to take naps. I would invite my best friend to take an afternoon nap, they are replenishing and encompass a much needed reset. Once we arise and get ready for our evening, I would walk down the street in my neighborhood to have dinner at Lobster and Beer. This is one scenario! Another favorite way to have dinner with friends is to do potluck, keeping it simple and pleasurable.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I created Yoniswell Surf Collective as a soul mission to help women return to themselves, their truth, and self worth through our connection to the ocean. Intuitively, I have always felt a call to return to and reside near the ocean. The idea began with a desire to surf as a way to rise above obstacles whether that be limiting inner dynamics and or external circumstances. It began with a desire to learn something new, to improve one’s skills doing something we love; i.e. surfing. To create experiences rooted in joy and connected to a natural resource we have on Earth; the ocean. A desire within me to connect with like minded individuals sharing these desires and values; true community creates authentic connection and support in relating our experiences with ourselves, and others. In essence, it was a soul mission to help the divine feminine in us all to heal and empower our soul. It was something my mind wasn’t one hundred percent understanding at the time, but something I felt the Universe supporting me in moving forward. I listened to my intuition and took action. I clearly remember thinking, I don’t know exactly what this is or how it’s going to evolve, but I know it’s something I need to do. This is bigger than me and as the conduit, it will naturally grow into what it is meant to be. It will call forth others who align with the values it holds at the core of its essence. I felt and still feel deeply that it was a space necessary to be created for women to self actualize a life they desire and a space to support them in becoming the best versions of themselves. With this process comes confronting one’s limitations, healing, and empowerment. The ocean is an intuitive guide that can bring forth the wisdom and guidance we need at the perfect time as we navigate throughout our lives. Surfing is a healing modality and way in which Yoniswell Surf Collective was able to actualize. That said, I thank my intuition and my connection to the Universe because it led me to creating the space, to the ocean, to improving my ability to surf, and led me to my inner peace. I thank all of the women who showed up for themselves and took on their desire to learn to surf, improve themselves, and create the life of their dreams through their own effort and partnership with Yoniswell. I thank Lindsay Thomason, CEO & Founder of The Nanny League, who is a special friend of mine. She believed in me, my vision, and Yonsiwell’s purpose. She empowered me to pursue my vision for being of service and allowing Yonsiewell to form and take on its natural influence of healing and empowerment. I thank the friends I made through Yoniswell who supported me with ideas on how to allow Yoniswell to thrive as it evolved. Without the community of Yoniswell and those special souls like Lindsay who believed in it, the business never would have become a tangible entity. It has become my dream and continuing mission to actualize Yoniswell as a successful business and community that is creating an impact on the world in a positive way.
