Hi Icerage, why did you pursue a creative career?
From a young age, music was my companion, my confidant, and my passion. Being a musician was never a choice; it was an inherent part of who I am. I found myself drawn to different instruments like the bass guitar, piano, and drums, each offering a unique language through which I could express myself. It wasn’t just about mastering these instruments; it was about the stories they could tell and the emotions they could evoke.

As I delved deeper into the world of music, I realized it wasn’t just about playing notes; it was about curating an experience, and crafting a journey that would resonate with others. This realization led me to explore the realm of DJing, where I could weave together melodies and rhythms to create a musical tapestry that would move people, take them on a journey, and evoke emotions they might not have known they possessed.

Choosing an artistic or creative career wasn’t about following a trend or seeking fame; it was about fulfilling a calling, a deep-rooted desire to share the magic of music with others. Being responsible for creating a musical experience isn’t merely a job; it’s a privilege and a responsibility I hold dear. It’s about fostering connections, evoking emotions, and being the catalyst for moments that stay etched in people’s memories.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
When it comes to my craft/art, I take pride in doing my mixes differently. I use unique techniques and have a wide range of musical creativity. Being titled the ‘King Of Transitions’ showcases my attention-catching skills, especially in a competitive field with many talented DJs.

I’m so proud of how I navigated my move from Lagos, Nigeria, to America, experiencing a cultural shift. In just a year, I’ve grown a rapid fanbase, DJed big concerts, held my own events, and inspired others. It’s a true blessing. How did I get here? It’s been about always striving to be the best, pushing harder, countless sleepless nights, and relentless persistence. Letting my passion guide me and the help from above made it all possible.

I have learned many lessons that emphasized my hard work, prayer, and self-belief and it has all paved my path. Having the right support system is crucial for those moments when you need lifting up.

I want the world to know that I’m unwavering in my pursuit. With the backing of my fans, I aim to achieve every dream – playing on big stages, collaborating with top industry names, and curating breathtaking events. I promise to remain ICERAGE THE MASTERMIND, always striving to be the best DJ possible.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
LA is such an adventure, and one spot I’d eagerly take my best friends is Universal Studios. The thrill there is something I’d relive endlessly.

When it comes to LA’s amazing food options, ‘Roscoe’s’ and ‘Hot n Juicy Crawfish’ have stolen my heart, and I’d love to introduce my friends to these favorites of mine.

Nightlife is where I shine, and I’d ensure my friends have a blast. At Afrobeats Hollywood @Station 1640, where I have a Saturday night residency as a DJ, the vibe is exceptional. And the night doesn’t end there. We’d head to Vuuka Lounge Afterhours, run by the Wahala Crew (My DJ Crew), where the party doesn’t stop till dawn.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Recognizing the pillars of support that have shaped my journey is incredibly important.

Firstly, I owe a deep sense of gratitude to the divine guidance and grace of God. It’s through this guidance that I’ve been blessed with opportunities, inspiration, and the courage to carve a path in the world of music as a DJ and music producer. Every beat, every melody feels like a testament to this divine guidance that has been a guiding force in my career.

My team stands as an unyielding force behind my creative endeavors. Their unwavering belief in my talent, their constant support, and their relentless push for excellence have been indispensable. They’ve stood by me during the highs and lows of my musical journey, encouraging me to push boundaries and strive for my best work.

Additionally, the unwavering support from my friends and family has been a source of immeasurable strength. Their encouragement, understanding, and belief in my aspirations have been a driving force, serving as a constant reminder of the importance of staying true to my dreams.
