How do you think about work-life balance?

By far the most common conversation we have with the folks we interview is about work-life balance. Starting a business or pursuing a creative career makes finding work life balance really tough because there is no clear start and end to one’s work day. We’ve shared some of our conversations on the topic below.

Achieving a healthy work-life balance is crucial for success. For me it’s crucial to maintain the equilibrium in my professional life. Striking a balance between creativity and productivity is key, as both aspects are essential for long-term growth and fulfillment. By nurturing my creative side, I can tap into new ideas, innovative solutions, and fresh perspectives. On the other hand, by embracing productivity it ensures that I can stay focused, meet deadlines, and accomplish tasks efficiently. Finding this equilibrium takes a series of trial and error in order to determine what works best for me. Work-life balance has always been a bit tricky for me because I love what I do for a living and if I’m not careful, I trend towards becoming a workaholic. However, that balance changed immensely after I became a mom a few years ago and I constantly feel like I am not spending enough time on my work or enough time with my family – I think this is a sentiment a lot of working moms can relate to.
