Meet Dr. Cindy Tsai, MD | Physician, TEDx Speaker, Author, Chief Wellness Officer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Cindy Tsai, MD and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dr. Cindy, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
Having a consistent self-care routine has been crucial in my well-being and success. For me, this includes taking care of different areas of health including physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. When I’m in good health, I’m happier, inspired, more focused and energized to do my best work. Self-care looks different for each person but the key is to find practices that work for you.
My commitment to growth and learning has also helped me tremendously because I’m constantly seeking to improve for the better. I love listening to podcasts, reading books, taking courses/trainings, and seeking coaching and mentorship because I know I have blind spots that hinder my progress and success. We’re fortunate to have access to so many resources and support these days to facilitate this process!
Lastly, setting clear goals that are aligned with my deeper purpose has been helpful in my journey as well. As a visionary, I like to see the big picture but recognize that it’s important to break it down into small tangible action steps in order to actually realize the vision. We live in a busy and noisy modern world where there are countless distractions all the time so it’s critical to have clarity and specific goals to focus on to stay on track.
I often remind myself that there is no one “right” path to success and to always remain open to experimenting and exploring new strategies to create new success habits along the way!
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My vision is to improve community health and well-being through holistic healing practices. I love helping people de-stress and live happier and healthier lives with balance. I started Yes & More, a personal growth and wellness company, because I had my own story with burnout and went through a deep healing journey after a health crisis when I woke up one day not being able to see.
I shared the details in my powerful TEDx talk on “Body Intelligence,” where I highlighted the importance of listening to your body and advocating for yourself to attain true health and well-being. After extensive training at Ivy League institutions and years of clinical experience as both an Internal Medicine and Integrative Medicine physician, I saw the impact of chronic stress on the body along with the challenges navigating the US healthcare system and wanted to do more than prescribe medications as a band-aid.
I pivoted into entrepreneurship to make a bigger impact to focus on empowering leaders and organizations to thrive through a compassionate approach incorporating mindfulness and integrative mind-body-spirit practices. We offer a variety of services from coaching, consulting, speaking/training to integrative medical consultations and energy healing services to support people on their path to well-being. The transition was not easy but it has been meaningful and fulfilling in many ways. Being a successful entrepreneur requires a different set of skills and qualities from being a successful physician but the good thing is that these are qualities anyone can learn and develop with commitment, practice, and time.
With a multicultural background, fluency in multiple languages, and upbringing in diverse countries, I’m grateful to have a unique perspective and profound awareness of health inequities, fueling my vision for a more inclusive world. My passions lie in women’s health and preventative health and medicine and I’m honored to serve and inspire as a leader in the field of holistic health and wellness to foster a healthier and happier world.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’m grateful to all my mentors and teachers who have guided and supported me on this journey and excited to be able to share and help others as well.
