We had the good fortune of connecting with Amir Madison and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Amir, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
Being able to love what you do and receive currency by doing so is a blessing. It’s always a waves you just gotta learn how to ride them.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am dedicated to serving humanity to the best of my ability, embracing learning and experience along the way. Through authenticity, I navigate life’s journey. As a former athlete, I faced adversity and setbacks while seeking my path after football. Through it all, I’ve learned the importance of moving forward positively, having faith in oneself, and trusting the universe. My purpose is clear: to serve underserved communities and support athletes transitioning from sports to the real world.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my friend were visiting LA for the first time, I’d start by taking them to Leimert Park. We’d explore some of my favorite spots like Nappily Naturals for herbs and teas, then head to Simply Wholesome to savor delicious patties. We’d also go on a hike in Malibu to enjoy breathtaking views and explore other favorite trails. Finally, we’d check out wellness events and pop-ups to connect with amazing people.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I feel like all the healers in the south central LA community need shoutouts. If I had to choose one in particular it would be Alli Simon.
