We had the good fortune of connecting with Yeono and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Yeono, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I’m from South Korea, raised by open-minded parents who fully supported my interests and passions. They themselves had tattoos and held a deep fascination for tattoo art, which introduced me to the culture from a young age. Thanks to their influence and support, I became accustomed to tattoos early on and was able to start learning the craft of tattooing at the age of 17. Also, the ingrained culture of diligence and sincerity in Korea really shaped who I am, encouraging me to always give my best and stay true in everything I do.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a tattoo artist specializing in pet portrait tattoos. With over a decade in the industry, my experience spans various tattoo genres, However, what distinguishes my work is the skill I’ve refined in intricately depicting animal fur. This skill is not just a technique. It encapsulates everything I hold dear about tattoos, animals, and my clients. My work is a harmonious blend of these passions, making each tattoo session a joyful and fulfilling experience. Tattooing is not just a profession for me; it’s my life.

Reaching my current professional standing wasn’t a solitary journey. My friends, mentors, and teachers have had a profound impact on me. The multitude of experiences, including both successes and failures, has sculpted my current self. The journey, filled with joy and challenges, has taught me countless lessons. One paramount lesson is the importance of continuous striving, even in the face of failure. In these endeavors, I’ve gained the most significant lessons.

In my work as a pet tattoo artist, it’s not just about drawing pets. it’s about connecting with my clients on an emotional level, bringing them joy, comfort, and cherished memories. The ability to gift someone an unforgettable moment of happiness is immensely gratifying for me, making my work feel truly special and meaningful. What I want the world to understand about me is that tattooing goes beyond merely drawing art on the body. It’s a way of capturing a moment in life, turning emotions and memories into something treasured. It’s about creating something eternal out of a fleeting moment, and in the process, forming an indelible bond between me, the client, and their skin. My work is not just about visual appeal. it’s connected to a deeper meaning.
