We had the good fortune of connecting with Harsh Garg and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Harsh, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
In the tumultuous journey of pursuing acting, the line between perseverance and surrender can often blur, leaving aspiring actors grappling with uncertainty and doubt. Yet, amidst the challenges and setbacks, it’s crucial to hold onto the spark that ignited the passion for acting within you. Reflect on the moments of sheer joy, the exhilarating rush of embodying a character, and the profound connection forged with the audience. These are the embers that fuel your inner fire, guiding you through the darkest of nights and the most arduous of auditions.

Every actor faces moments of rejection and disappointment; they are as much a part of the journey as the triumphs. However, it’s important to view these setbacks not as barriers, but as stepping stones towards growth and resilience. Each audition, each rejection, offers invaluable lessons and opportunities for self-improvement. Embrace the feedback, refine your craft, and use the experiences to carve out your unique path in the industry. Remember, the most iconic performances often emerge from the depths of perseverance and unwavering determination.

In the face of uncertainty, it’s essential to cultivate a deep sense of self-belief and trust in your journey. Trust in the countless hours of hard work and dedication you’ve invested in honing your craft. Trust in your ability to adapt, evolve, and overcome any obstacle that comes your way. And most importantly, trust in the power of your dreams. For it’s the relentless pursuit of those dreams, fueled by passion and resilience, that separates those who merely dream from those who dare to make those dreams a reality. So, keep going, keep pushing forward with unwavering conviction, and let your unwavering spirit illuminate the path to your acting aspirations.

Last but not the least, there is no room for giving up.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is a reflection of my deepest passions, inspirations, and experiences, crafted with an unwavering commitment to authenticity and creativity. What sets me apart is my dedication to pushing boundaries, exploring new horizons, and infusing my work with a unique blend of emotion and depth. I’m most proud of the connections I’ve forged with audiences, the moments of genuine resonance that transcend the confines of the stage or screen.

My journey to where I am today professionally has been anything but easy and I am glad that I learnt the hard way. It’s been a path filled with obstacles, setbacks, and moments of doubt. However, each challenge has been a catalyst for growth, pushing me to evolve, adapt, and emerge stronger than before. Through hard work, dedication, and a relentless pursuit of excellence, I’ve overcome the odds and carved out my place in the industry.

The lessons I’ve learned along the way have been invaluable. I’ve discovered the power of resilience in the face of adversity, the importance of staying true to my vision, and the transformative impact of embracing authenticity. I want the world to know that my art is not just about entertainment; it’s about connection, empathy, and the exploration of the human experience. My brand and story are rooted in a deep passion for storytelling, a commitment to authenticity, and a belief in the transformative power of art to inspire, provoke thought, and ignite change.

“Miles to go before I sleep.”

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
A week-long adventure with my best friend in the City of Angels – absolute madness! We’ll kick things off with a visit to the stunning BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Chino Hills, where we’ll marvel at the intricate architecture and soak up the peaceful atmosphere. We’ll then dive headfirst with a bang into the city’s legendary food scene. We’ll start our culinary tour with some mouthwatering tacos from a hole-in-the-wall joint in East LA, then wash it down with margaritas the size of our heads. My best friend and I share a similar taste in food and our day will not end without a decent Butter Chicken meal!

Our second day we’d start the day with breakfast at a beachside cafe in Santa Monica. Spend the morning soaking up the sun and enjoying the vibrant atmosphere of Santa Monica Pier. An afternoon visit to Venice Beach to explore the boardwalk, watch street performers, go cycling and browse the eclectic shops. Definitely end the day with sunset cocktails at the iconic High Rooftop Lounge in Venice.

We’re hitting the road! First stop: Big Bear, where we’ll attempt to ski down the slopes without breaking any bones (fingers crossed). After a few days of snow-filled fun, we’ll jump back in the car and head for the stunning coastal cliffs of Big Sur. We’ll take in the breathtaking views, and probably get lost and go explore a place we did not plan on going.

We can’t pass up the opportunity to explore the breathtaking beauty of Yosemite National Park. We’ll lace up our hiking boots and hit the trails, marveling at towering waterfalls, majestic granite cliffs, and lush forests along the way.

Back in LA, it’s time to get cultured with visits to some of the city’s top museums. We’ll marvel at the weird and wonderful exhibits at the Museum of Jurassic Technology, ponder the meaning of life at the Getty Center, and spend way too long trying to decipher modern art at the Broad. We’ll then visit the Hollywood Walk of Fame and obviously the world famous Hollywood Sign.

And because no trip to LA is complete without a little bit of sinning, we’ll round off our adventure with a spontaneous trip to Vegas. We’ll hit the casinos, catch a show, go racing at Speed Vegas, and probably end up doing things that we aren’t supposed to do and probably end up with a few regrets – because what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.

But wait, there’s more – we’re not done yet! We’re taking our adventure to new heights with a thrilling skydiving experience over the stunning SoCal landscape. We’ll scream our lungs out as we freefall through the clouds, making memories that’ll last a lifetime. And just when we think we’ve conquered it all, we’ll swap our parachutes for scuba gear and dive into the crystal-clear waters of Catalina Island.

And because we’re gluttons for adrenaline, we’ll wrap up our trip with some ghostly thrills by exploring some of LA’s most haunted places. We’ll visit the famously spooky Queen Mary, wander through the eerie corridors of the Old Zoo in Griffith Park, and the notoriously haunted Linda Vista Hospital!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Absolutely! I’d like to dedicate this shoutout first and foremost to my parents for being my constant source of inspiration and guidance on my journey. My parents have always been my unwavering pillars of support, providing me with love, encouragement, and the belief that I can achieve anything I set my mind to. Their sacrifices, dedication, and belief in my dreams have been the driving force behind my pursuit of excellence in acting. I am also immensely grateful for my mentors, and to my handful close friends who have always believed in me and support the work I do.

Additionally, I’m incredibly grateful for the unparalleled talent and dedication of Sir Daniel Day-Lewis, whose remarkable performances have not only captivated audiences worldwide but have also served as a source of inspiration and aspiration for me. It is because of him that I chose to pursue a career in Acting. His commitment to his craft, his meticulous attention to detail, and his ability to completely immerse himself in every character he portrays are qualities that I strive to emulate in my own acting journey.

I am also grateful for all the negative people and rejections that have been unexpected allies on my journey, serving as invaluable sources of inspiration for self-improvement. In the face of negativity, I’ve learned to harness the power of resilience, transforming criticism into motivation to exceed expectations. Each rejection has become a stepping stone for growth, teaching me invaluable lessons about perseverance and determination. Instead of allowing setbacks to deter me, I’ve embraced them as opportunities for introspection and refinement. Through resilience and determination, I’ve turned negativity into a catalyst for personal and professional development, emerging stronger and more resilient with each challenge overcome.

To my parents, my mentors, my friends and to Sir Daniel Day-Lewis, I extend my deepest gratitude and admiration. Your unwavering support, your unparalleled talent, and your enduring influence have shaped me into the actor I am today. This shoutout is a testament to your incredible impact on my life and career, and I am forever grateful for your presence and inspiration.
