Hi CIRE, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
As a visual artist, risk-taking fuels my creativity and pushes me to explore new techniques, styles, and concepts. It’s the backbone of innovation in my work, leading to breakthroughs and original creations. Without taking risks, my art would become stagnant and predictable. However, calculated risks allow me to push boundaries while still maintaining a strong foundation in my craft. Ultimately I find that the GREATER the risk the GREATER the REWARD!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
“My art is a reflection of my unique style and creative process, blending various paints and the element of fire to produce visually captivating pieces. As the owner of CIRE B Studios, I pride myself on pushing the boundaries of traditional art mediums and creating dynamic experiences for my audience. What sets me apart is my commitment to innovation and storytelling through art, as well as my dedication to mental health advocacy.

Professionally, my journey has been anything but easy. Starting my company, CIRE B Studios, in the midst of a pandemic presented numerous challenges, from logistical hurdles to financial uncertainties. However, I refused to let obstacles deter me from pursuing my passion. I pivoted my approach and launched ‘The Art Box,’ a premium paint and sip kit that brought the joy of art directly to people’s doorsteps. This initiative not only proved to be successful, earning six-figures, but also allowed me to connect with my supporters in a meaningful way during a difficult time.

Through perseverance and strategic partnerships, such as with small businesses for pop-up art galleries, I was able to overcome challenges and grow my brand exponentially. These experiences have taught me valuable lessons about adaptability, resilience, and the power of community support.

Ultimately, I want the world to know that CIRE B Studios is more than just an art studio; it’s a platform for creativity, connection, and positive change. My story is a testament to the transformative power of art and entrepreneurship, and I hope to inspire others to pursue their passions fearlessly and make a difference in their communities.”

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting Los Angeles, I’d make sure they had an unforgettable week exploring the city’s vibrant culture and diverse attractions. Here’s a little itinerary for their trip:

Day 1: Arrival and Beach Day

Welcome them with brunch at a trendy spot like Urth Caffé in Santa Monica.
Spend the afternoon relaxing and soaking up the sun at the Beach.
Dinner with ocean views.

Day 2: Hollywood and Arts District

Start the day with breakfast at Sqirl in Silver Lake for some tasty and innovative dishes.
Take a tour of Hollywood Boulevard to see the Walk of Fame and TCL Chinese Theatre.
Visit the Griffith Observatory for panoramic views of the city and the Hollywood Sign.
Dinner at Bestia in the Arts District for incredible Italian cuisine in a hip setting.

Day 3: Downtown LA and Museums

Begin with breakfast at Grand Central Market, where they can sample a variety of cuisines from different vendors.
Explore the museums at Exposition Park, including the Natural History Museum and the California Science Center.
Walk around the vibrant streets of Downtown LA and admire the street art in the Arts District.

Day 4: Outdoor Adventure

Day 6: Beach Day and Sunset Cocktails

Spend the day at Venice Beach, exploring the boardwalk, checking out the street performers, and maybe renting bikes to ride along the beach path.
Enjoy cocktails and appetizers at The Bungalow in Santa Monica for a relaxed atmosphere and beachfront views.
Dinner at Gjelina in Venice for rustic yet refined California cuisine.

Day 7: Farewell and Shopping

Brunch at Republique before heading out to explore the shops along Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.
Take a leisurely stroll along the Santa Monica Promenade for some last-minute souvenirs.
Dinner at Catch LA for a trendy and upscale dining experience with panoramic views of the city.

Throughout the week, I’d also make sure to take them to some of my favorite local spots for coffee, drinks, and live music, showcasing the best of LA’s vibrant and diverse culture.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate this shoutout to the US Army for setting me up for success. From developing my leadership skills to having positive mentors, instilling a solid work ethic, and fostering fortitude, the Army equipped me with invaluable tools. The support of my fellow soldiers has also extended my network, creating opportunities worldwide. The Army played a pivotal role in developing my leadership skills through rigorous training, real-life experiences, and constant challenges. From day one, I was immersed in a culture that demanded accountability, initiative, and decisiveness. Through various leadership positions, I learned how to lead by example, communicate effectively, and make critical decisions under pressure. The Army instilled in me the importance of integrity, resilience, and adaptability, qualities that are indispensable in both military and civilian leadership roles.

Moreover, the Army led me to start creating art as an outlet, which later developed into a business. This creative journey not only provided me with a means of self-expression but also opened up new avenues for entrepreneurship and innovation. The discipline and determination instilled by the Army continue to drive me forward in pursuing my artistic endeavors and building a successful business. Overall, the Army’s influence on my personal and professional development has been profound, shaping me into the leader and entrepreneur I am today.”
