We had the good fortune of connecting with Kelley Weaver and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kelley, what do you attribute your success to?
I believe that once my team and I discovered a niche to specialize in and fearlessly pursued it, we were able to achieve true success. Melrose PR is a public relations and communications agency that serves only the bitcoin and crypto space. Moving to a single focus unlocked our true potential and allowed us to thrive. We not only attracted a global client pool for our specialized expertise but also gained recognition within our industry for quality work and authentic relationships. Initially, turning down business didn’t come naturally; however, once we defined the type of clients we wanted, turning down anything that wasn’t a great fit became strategic. This gave us power and led to incredible success.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I believe that two crucial traits have been instrumental in my entrepreneurial journey: perseverance and positivity. I’ve had plenty of failures but I learn from my mistakes and setbacks and continue improving and evolving. Positivity serves as my superpower; I actively seek out the silver lining in every situation, refusing to let minor setbacks ruin my day. Additionally, I find that focusing on gratitude is a powerful tool for maintaining perspective and resilience.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I truly could not be where I am today without the unwavering support of two key members of my leadership team who have been with me in the trenches for many years. Nikki Brown, our Chief Strategy Officer, has been at Melrose PR for over 7 years and is a true expert in our field. She understands client services and needs, clearly sets expectations, and devises creative strategies and execution across our clients’ content needs. Kili Wall, our Chief Operations Officer, has been with Melrose for over 5 years and has made an indelible mark on our culture and reputation. She never lets a ball drop across operations but also has infused a pace-of-communication standard for our team that our clients have come to know us by. She also is the heart of our organization, checking in with each team member to make sure their needs are met and they feel supported. Without these two key team members, we would not be where we are today as an organization.

I believe in work life balance, and as a mom of three kids under five, it truly takes a village. I am so lucky to have the incredible support of my loving husband Hunter and our childcare support team, Yaya and Dita. Since becoming a mom, I’ve learned to prioritize and focus on what truly matters. My kids have helped me find my own power. I am so grateful to get to do what I love and also raise a family at the same time.
