Meet Dolly Arneja | Home Chef

We had the good fortune of connecting with Dolly Arneja and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dolly, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I have always loved cooking and feeding everyone is my love language. All my friends and family have loved my food through the years so they would always push me to venture out to sell my food. I used to have a catering business in india as well and when I moved here I wanted to start something with authentic Indian food.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Chasamosa is a homegrown authentic Indian food kitchen for all your Indian food needs. We are different than most Indian food places because our food tastes very homemade, it would reminds you of home away from home. We are a small business so obstacles are bound to happen because of not having the same resources as all the big businesses. It was not easy to be where we are because bringing change isn’t always easy. Just staying authentic to our roots has helped us overcome the challenges. Everyday there is a new lesson to be learned and I am grateful that I get to do what I love everyday.
I want the world to know is that hard work and the love you put into what you love never goes unnoticed. It always brings you success in the long run.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
There are a few places I would like to take them for instance Griffith Observatory, Hollywood Sign, Universal studios. There are a few tea rooms which are wonderful, I would take them there.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to thank my family for being a pillar of strength and pushing me to have confidence in myself to do this all. I would like to give thanks to my mom who taught me everything about cooking and Sam Tripathi who is always helping me in any way he can to be successful. Heartfelt thanks to all our customers who have supported me in my journey.
