Meet EMBY MATTHEWS | Producer and Band frontman

We had the good fortune of connecting with EMBY MATTHEWS and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi EMBY, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
Music has taken and given me everything. I feel like my lifestyle has made me hit a lot of snages. A lot of people cant see eye to eye with my life because I juggle a lot of studying, working and actually doing the thing. I am the producer, I am the singer, I am even sometimes the mixing engineer (although my two friends Bruce and Nesh did the last two albums), and every day it haunts me. I work so hard and write so much because I am deeply cut by how isolating creative fields can be and how my most important relationships have been ruined by this. It’s not a career for the feint of heart. It’s not something for someone who is a perfectionist, because perfection doesn’t come. For how much joy it has brought into my life, it has almost equally hurt

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Many can say words but they really don’t mean them.
(Minus maybe my first ep cause it was a little silly) but even that was almost completely real things, using almost the real scenarios with slight changes. I care about the people in my life, and I linger on things.
When I am writing I am trying to process these things that have gone on in my life. I really struggle with thinking too much on things that have happened. Some people made me FURIOUS enough where I almost don’t want to move forward and keep those chars a burnin’, however my work has helped me move the dial a bit.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My brother “Hi I’m Chris” taught me everything I built upon when it comes to daw production. He is also my best friend. In music, you get a lot of horrible people. Having family here with me, helping me through not only my life but in the same field as me has been the most beneficial thing to me as a creator. I love my brother more than almost anyone. I really have felt alone along my journey to completing my goals, and with us together I fell less so.
