We had the good fortune of connecting with Chase Gibson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chase, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
At the time I was 26 and we had a baby on the way, there was an internal pressure to provide and step up. And at that time I really felt a calling to bring my purpose and profession together and provide a service to help people in a very real way

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Our work is also our passion and very close to our hearts. I think what separates us from others is the reality that this is our calling and something we have done, and will continue to do for the rest of our lives whether we are paid from it or not.. I am so grateful and thankful of where we are today. We have come so far since day one and it’s been an amazing and challenging journey along the way. And looking back it was really about not quitting and having the right team around me. We had to overcome challenges along the way, our gym getting flooded 4 times and having to close our doors. And with that having to rebuild and build back from nothing. From losing to students and big accounts to gym floods for me it was really about keeping my faith and trusting God in the struggle. And really I think that was the most beautiful part of my journey and the biggest lesson I’ve learned. I want the world to know that in honor of my twin brother Cooper Gibson who passed away in 2020 I want to help people the same way he helped me and was an example for me. Living a life clean and sober , pursuing a dream, working hard and facing fears head on.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love historic architecture, nature and coffee. So I would make sure to visit a lot of the historic districts across the city. (downtown LA, west Adams, mid city etc) Enjoying the diverse selection of food we have here in this amazing city, maybe Korean bbq in k town ,or Ethiopian food on Fairfax. Finding a good coffee shop in these areas and going on a walk to explore. Being in Southern California and so close to the beach and the mountains , I would have to make sure we see both and explore those areas and repeat the coffee and food hunt

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to shout out Eric Klein and Danielle Dellorto at CAN-DO.org for believing in me and our organization. Immense gratitude for the support and mentorship from day one until now. Without them none of this would of been possible.
