Meet Angela Pacheco | Photographer, Producer, Podcaster

We had the good fortune of connecting with Angela Pacheco and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Angela, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
After earning my Bachelor’s Degree in Commercial Advertising; Professional Photography from the prestigious Brooks Institute of Photography Santa Barbara, I moved to LA and worked for several photo studios and photo agencies. But my goal was always to start my own production company. I wanted the creative freedom to work on photoshoots and productions that inspired me and excited me. It has always been a thrill for me to be on set and to work with other creatives, I knew it would be a grind but I welcomed the challenge. I quickly gained a reputation as an innovative commercial photographer in the Los Angeles area where I have worked with several celebrity clients and as well as behind-the-scenes talent.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What stands out to me in this question is “Was it easy”. I found success in both my film career as a photographer and producer very early on. So I thought at the time “it was easy”. But as the years went on I came to realize that it became harder and harder. How could that be? But in the end, I was still able to succeed with a little more grind. That’s what sets me apart from the rest, not only being able to survive in the toughest of industries but to be able to thrive.
My approach to photography is uniquely modern yet photo-journalistic.
I am most proud of the docuseries I directed and produced. I also did some of the camera operations and co-edited the piece. I took this project from concept to network meetings and did it on a minimal budget and with a skeleton crew. I am very proud of this.
The main thing I have learned along the way is if you’re still thinking about that one project and you think about it often, never give up on the success it could have.
Most recently I have become a producer and host of my own YouTube channel. I have developed several shows under one platform. Los Angeles has always been and forever will be a town filled with passionate Raiders fans. These. passionate fans will enjoy my YouTube channel called. 4 Life: Our Raiders Story.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I absolutely love the ride through L.A. after picking a friend up from the airport. I find it exhilarating, as if I’m reliving, vicariously through my friends how it was when I first decided to make the move to L.A. Windows down, music playing and the sights and sounds of L.A. is something special. From LAX a drive by the Ocean or if it’s BUR, driving past the studios.
I’m a foodie and L.A. has so many great restaurants but my go-to is Bossa Nova, they have several locations but my favorite the one on Sunset Blvd. I love stopping by the rehearsal spaces and sound stages to see what my friends and colleagues are working on.
And I love visiting West Hollywood, it’s always a great time, day or night.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have been grinding at this career since I was 19 years old, I am now 44. Wow, I just. realized, it’s been. 25 years. I digress. After continuing to grind for 25 years I have learned that one’s success is due to their own hard work. Of course, there has been a lot of support and encouragement along the way but there has only been one constant. And that is my Mother, Anna aka Mother Moon. I think she still believes that the best is yet to come for me. And I hope she is right because I still have goals I am looking to accomplish.
