Meet Franceis Garcia | Athletic Uniform manufacturer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Franceis Garcia and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Franceis, what do you want people to remember about you?
I would hope that my determination to never fail on my word be my legacy. Once I make a promise, I move mountains if needed to fulfill it. In my business, you only get one real chance at getting each order right, whether its opening day on the youth football field or fitting day in the film studio, our uniforms are where they should be when they should be there.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
All American Sportswear is tiny fish in a huge sea of sports manufacturers, so to be noticed we are the shop that NEVER fails a delivery. We are the “Hail Mary” shop that makes sure every kid is dressed on game day and hopefully this keeps us relevant in the industry. It is, sometimes, impossible and stressful but also so rewarding to see our uniforms on the fields or courts. I use the versatility of my business to be able to bring in jobs from all around us including some big names. We make cheer uniforms for a struggling little group in the heart of South Central Los Angeles with the same care for detail and compassion for the end user as we do when making Lebron James’ movie wardrobe or the Gronks superbowl jersey. It is just as exciting for me and my employees to see our teams on social media posting their games and competitions as it is seeing our work on TV.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would have breakfast at the Pantry in LA then we would spend the day at Olvera street finishing the day off with dinner at Roscoes Chicken and Waffles in South Central. Next day we would visit the Cathedral downtown and then walk some of the downtown streets taking in the beautiful architecture of the old theaters. We would enjoy a street dog and corn on a stick for lunch. We would have to catch the watershow at the San Pedro port and then enjoy some fresh seafood finishing a day at ports of call in San Pedro with drinks.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate this shoutout to Julio Baez, founder and managing partner of Primetime Pro Services here in Montebello. He was a head coach for a division of the Montebello Indians youth football league over 20 years ago and found me running a small sewing shop where I contracted for other manufacturers and stayed behind the scenes. Julio pulled me out to the forefront, connected me with a few sports leagues directly and the rest is history. He never knew what a difference he made in my business but his confidence and support for me really made me step up and be seen. It is such an honor for me to be able to do what I do while working with all these people who volunteer and give so much of their time for the sake of other peoples kids.
