We had the good fortune of connecting with La Rance Braggs and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi La Rance, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success is the faith I have in my higher power that my journey has already been approved and completed and all I have to do is walk the path.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I worked really hard and put a lot of long hours in behind the scenes. I have learned that it takes team work to make a dream work. My brand is about hard work and knowing that it’s alright to be just a regular man in today’s judgmental world toward men.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well I really don’t go out much because I work a lot but when I do decide to come outside I’d probably start on Thursday night with Timi Mason or Chelsea McDowell at the legacy lounge or Westside MGE on main st or Jae Love at the bamboo lounge in Santa Monica or craccem up Thursdays at the comedy store. That’s just one day. Fri sat would be just probably going to a beach or just a drive up the PCH. Sundays I would go to the Laugh Factory then after that to th dime on Fairfax and run it on a Monday at the sunset rooftop with Sheila keminski. That would be my week

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to shout out my Manager Dee Lins who has been in my corner since day one. She gave me an opportunity to grow in a community of entertainers. She believed in me and I didn’t want to let her down. I also want to shout out my parents and the family me where that really and truly supported me. My friends that supported me and the fans that follow me.
