Hi Karen, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
Karen Michelle a Lifestyle Brand is part of the community by producing the Love Your Body Events. Love Your Body Events are about Self Esteem & Empowerment of Women & Girls of All Shapes, Backgrounds, Sizes & Ages! A place where Everyone is Welcome! Red Carpet • Fashion Show • Beauty • Shopping & More! An afternoon of fun with a Red Carpet, Fabulous Fashion Runway Show featuring Established and New Emerging Fashion Designers, Shop from Fantastic Vendors and have some photo-op fun and enjoy a Complimentary Dessert Reception. The main focus of the event is that everyone is welcome. So it brings together people from all over , from other communities to create one new community that is fun, feel good, and free of judgement. Be You!!! That is my mission.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I have been an entrepreneur for over 31 years in Los Angeles with many ups and downs. My Lifestyle brand Karen Michelle is what I am truly proud of especially the Love Your Body Fashion show and shopping events. They bring women and girls together to empower each other. As one we are a mighty voice and stand for inclusion of all no matter size, shape , or background.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Los Angeles is all about the people and the water. A day down by the Marina and then dinner in the City. When Covid is gone it will be back to movies, theater, and museums. I am born and raised in Los Angeles and as the saying goes, I love LA!!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Artists For Trauma CEO Laura Sharpe. Laura and her organization has been an inspiration for me on my journey.. I am proud to call her a true friend and colleague. She is someone you can count on and gives her all completely from the heart The next LYB in April 2021 will be partnership and collaboration with Artists For Trauma.
