Meet Marquise Myles | Actor, Director, Dancer, Filmmaker ,Writer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Marquise Myles and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Marquise, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I think taking risks has played a huge part in my life and career because I’ve ultimately always betted on myself. Risks means taking chances. I think if you don’t take a chance on yourself how do you expect others in whatever field you’re entering to take a chance on you.. Risks has always been at the fore front.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I think what sets me apart from others is having the trust in myself. Not everyone will see your visions at first but you have to trust in it anyways. I also think what sets me apart is being able to connect to others easily. What I am most proud of is all my own original work I do within acting, filmmaking and writing. I love seeing my my visions starting out as ideas in my head and watching them come to life.. Like most people it takes a lot of trails and tribulations to get anywhere you want t, If it was easy everybody would do it. What I want the world to know about my brand and story is believe in yourself and trust the process. i think it’s kinda cliche to say but I truly believe in that.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Hmm being that my best friend and I are both from LA, we really don’t need to do a bunch of extra stuff. To be honest growing up with not a lot of money we ate El Pollo Loco a lot and now as adults we still love it to this day. We’d probably get El Pollo Loco and go hangout at a park, the beach or my house and watch a movie. I think we’re more about just enjoying quality time that’d we’d both be happy.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
To be honest, I have to thank my entire family and best friend. My family and I are extremely close and they support me in every way possible. They are very uplifting and they want to see me overall happy in anything that I do. From my Mom, Brother, Sister, Aunt, Nieces Cousins and Nephews I’m always in a state of gratitude with them. I’ve had the same best friend since I was a kid maybe 7 or 8 years old so it’s nothing but love. These
people make
me a better person in their own way
