We had the good fortune of connecting with Kevito Clark and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kevito, what do you attribute your success to?
One of the most important factors behind the success of SUBJECT TO CHANGE LLC’s first IP, ‘Love, Peace & Spades™,” is that we are a modern-day “hush harbor,” a protected space created by and for Black people.

Our success comes from honoring and cherishing our Black family classic games (e.g., Bid Whist, Tunk/Tonk, Dominoes, and, of course, Spades), promoting intergenerational communion through music, tech, education, and play, and through ‘Spades Academy™,” a curriculum-based activation for players looking to learn the skills and strategies involved with Spades and other games.

and directly address the emotional traumas that people have e

Focusing on providing a haven for #AllPlayersWelcome to play games, build community, share retained generational knowledge, and directly address the emotional traumas that people have with these games are important to us and to those who attend.

In the thick of it all, ‘Love, Peace & Spades™’ has made a positive impression on the Black Los Angeles populace, and we’re excited to have made a space where friendships are formed and long-lasting connections can be made at our rather fly gatherings.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
‘Love, Peace & Spades™’ was inspired by the need
