Meet Chike Onuchukwu | Creative Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Chike Onuchukwu and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Chike, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Starting my own business was a big leap, but it came from a simple realization: I needed to follow my heart, not the path others laid out for me.
I took a detour from law to pursue content creation because it’s where I found my true purpose – making people feel good. I love crafting experiences and emotions and I love that I can do with my art. Photography and videography has become my canvas for self-expression and connecting with others.
So, starting my own business was like saying yes to myself and my passion for making others feel welcome and comfortable.
It’s been a wild ride, but every step feels like living in sync with my true calling.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is a reflection of my brand values: hard work, balance, simplicity, authenticity, and inspiration. I believe in putting in the effort to create meaningful content while maintaining a sense of equilibrium in life. What sets me apart is my ability to infuse these values into every project, creating work that is not only visually appealing but also deeply resonant.
From my role as a creative director to now as a full-time creative entrepreneur, I’ve honed my skills in photography, videography, and marketing, always striving for excellence. My goal is to welcome viewers into a world that is both fun and insightful, where they can find real connections and inspiration.
The journey hasn’t been easy. Leaving my job was a tough decision, but it was necessary for my growth and well-being. Challenges have come in various forms, from balancing client expectations to navigating industry dynamics. But each obstacle has been a lesson in resilience and self-belief. I’ve learned the importance of staying true to my values, even if it means taking a leap of faith.
What I want the world to know about me and my brand is that we’re not just about creating content; we’re about creating meaningful experiences. Whether it’s helping a brand define its visual identity or collaborating with people to tell authentic stories, my passion lies in making people feel seen, heard, and inspired. And as I continue to evolve professionally, I’m excited to share my brand’s story with the world and connect with like-minded individuals.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Day 1: We’d start off with some Momma Tellies food truck on Drexel’s campus, enjoying the nice views of the city at Cira Green rooftop. Then we’d head to the city to explore galleries and museums.
Day 2: We’d probably doing something more hands on like shoot pool and go out to bowling. Something we can do with perhaps a big group. Maybe have some brunch and drinks.
Day 3: It’s time to take it outsideeee. We’d probably go to Mirage Lounge to enjoy the vibes.
Day 4: We’re going on a food run. Trying local food trucks, as well as Philly’s best restaurants.
Day 5: Time to get active. We’d probably hit the gym together and get a good work out in. Followed by a nice protein shake afterwards
Day 6: Relaxation day. Get a massage, play some video games, enjoy the weather, whatever we’re feeling that day.
Day 7. It’s the last day so we’re going all out baby. We’re probably not sleeping this night either.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Absolutely, I’d love to give a shoutout to my inner circle, especially those who supported me when I decided to pivot from the path I was on. They believed in my vision even when it seemed unconventional and others called me crazy.
Thank you to my family, mentors and friends who has provided invaluable guidance along the journey.
Thank you to the Drexel Liberty Scholar Program for my full-ride tuition scholarship to undergrad and for making my transition in and out of college very smoothly.
Thank you to my girlfriend who has showered me with unwavering support and encouragement since my first official photoshoot ever. Literal day 1.
Also, shout out to “The 50th Law” by Robert Greene and 50 cent, which helped me become fearless and break through creative doubts.
Their collective support and inspiration have been instrumental in shaping my journey thus far.
