Meet Jon Milk | Producer, DJ

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jon Milk and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jon, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
Oh ya. Nobody knows what the **** they are doing. Everyone is trying to figure it out and grow at every level. Perception is not always reality.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
So, under Jon Milk I produce music, DJ, and host events mainly related to house music. I’m just now cracking the surface in the scene. Playing shows nearly every week and getting to share my music at some big festivals this year. Pretty cool stuff haha. How did I get to where I am today? (oof) Trial and error. BIG TIME. Try and fail and try and fail and network and network and opportunity and try and fail. Definitely is not easy but you gotta love the process. I dont want people to think too deep into my story or. brand. I just enjoy making music and I enjoy playing music.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Easy. In any order; Night Market on sunset. A Framed show. A Sunday hang out session by Stella Groove. Any top tier golf course. Spam post mates while listening to music. Most of my life consists of this.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I don’t really know how to answer this question without leaving someone out. But, since we are talking music there are a few people who I will always thank. Let this article be the proof that I have thanked you to the world incase I forget to in the future lol. Mikey, who I played sports with at university, my cousin Daniel, Phil, Framed Events, and Sam. These people really are the only reason why I’m still grinding out music. They all gave me the confidence and kept pushing me when times got tough.
