We had the good fortune of connecting with Andrew Garcia and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Andrew, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Starting a business is often seen as the epitome of the American dream, embodying the spirit of innovation and ambition. For me, it represents not only a pursuit of financial success but also a personal challenge to achieve what has never been done in my family: creating generational wealth and passive income. With this vision, Syndicus was born, a company that encapsulates diverse yet interconnected ventures, from manufacturing and coating to firearms and defense training, and even K9 protection services. In today’s world, where personal and home security is paramount, Syndicus aims to provide comprehensive solutions that meet these critical needs.

The journey of entrepreneurship is defined by perseverance, integrity, drive, and passion. These qualities are essential, as starting a business is no easy feat and demands unwavering commitment. It requires a solid foundation of mental and physical resilience, guidance from mentors, and substantial financial support. Above all, the alignment of your vision and product with these fundamental elements is crucial to establishing a standard of excellence for yourself and your customers. Success in business is often measured by how one handles constructive criticism and navigates setbacks. The ability to adapt, reset, and overcome challenges distinguishes a mediocre company from a truly great one.

In the end, the desire to succeed must transcend personal ambitions. It demands a deep investment in your idea, product, yourself, and your team. This holistic approach ensures that every aspect of the business is geared towards achieving greatness. By committing to this path, you set the stage for a business that not only thrives but also contributes to the broader goal of creating lasting value and security for your community. Syndicus embodies this philosophy, striving to deliver the best in all its endeavors and setting a new standard in the industries it touches.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
In Southern California, our defense company stands at the forefront of manufacturing rifles, coatings, training, and aerospace components, all with a commitment to unparalleled American quality. We have set the standard in the industry by producing what we proudly call the “2011 for rifles,” a groundbreaking product that challenges the status quo and delivers unmatched quality to the American people. We are thrilled to announce our patented product, the ORION, which takes AR magazines and is chambered in .223/5.56 caliber. This innovation reflects our dedication to excellence and our mission to provide the best possible products to our consumers.

Our extensive training and experience encompass over 30 years in law enforcement and more than 20 years in education, providing us with a deep understanding of how to effectively train civilians, law enforcement, and military personnel. Coupled with over 15 years of experience in the industry, this expertise has made us exceptionally knowledgeable, enabling us to address issues that others may struggle with and work collaboratively to achieve advancements in the firearms industry. Every day, we strive to be a company that listens to consumers and protects the American people by providing high-quality engineered products designed to save lives. Along the way, we have learned invaluable lessons in manufacturing, production, shipping, design, engineering, and sales. Our commitment to excellence extends to our team, fostering unity and growth as we continue to innovate and expand.

Our brand is a true American brand, developed on American soil to give the American people hope that businesses and the American dream are still strong and thriving. In Southern California, a state where hope in the Second Amendment and the American dream may seem to be waning, we stand as a beacon of perseverance and dedication. We want everyone to know that we are here to stay, committed to achieving our goals and becoming the best defense company in America. Our unwavering dedication to quality, innovation, and the American dream is what sets us apart, and we will continue to strive for excellence in everything we do.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I were to take my best friend on a weeklong trip through Southern California, we would start by soaking up the sun and sand at some of the region’s iconic beaches. Huntington Beach, known for its vibrant surf culture and lively atmosphere, would be our first stop. We could enjoy breakfast at Sugar Shack Cafe before hitting the waves. For lunch, we’d head to Duke’s for some Hawaiian-inspired cuisine with a stunning ocean view. Dinner at Nobu in Malibu would provide an upscale dining experience with exquisite Japanese-Peruvian dishes, offering a perfect end to a day by the sea. In the evenings, we could explore the beachside bars and vibrant nightlife that make Southern California so exciting.

For sports enthusiasts, a trip to Dodger Stadium is a must. We’d catch a Dodgers game, indulging in classic stadium snacks like Dodger Dogs and ice-cold beer. To balance our love for sports with some outdoor adventure, we’d spend a day hiking the scenic trails of Griffith Park, followed by a visit to the Griffith Observatory for breathtaking views of the city and stars. The adventure would continue with off-road vehicles and recreational activities, taking our boat to Lake Havasu for a day of barbecue and water sports. The thrill of speeding across the water and exploring the desert landscapes would be a highlight of our trip.

No visit to Southern California would be complete without experiencing its famous theme parks. We’d spend days at Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm, and Universal Studios Hollywood, enjoying the rides, shows, and unique attractions each park offers. A trip to Hollywood to walk the star-studded strip and see the iconic Hollywood Sign would add a touch of excitment to our itinerary. To experience the local culture, we’d spend time at the Santa Monica Pier and Venice Beach Boardwalk, where we could sample a variety of foods and enjoy street performances. This diverse and exciting itinerary would ensure we have the best time, creating unforgettable memories in Southern California.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Over the last 15 years, my educational and professional journey has been profoundly shaped by the guidance and mentorship of numerous individuals. Relocating 3,000 miles away from my birthplace to Worcester, MA, I pursued my educational endeavors in undergraduate studies and criminology at Worcester State University, with aspirations to continue higher education in a master’s program at Boston University for cybercrime. This move presented challenges that were instrumental in my personal and professional growth. The mentors I encountered in Worcester played a pivotal role in my development, offering support and wisdom at a time when my family was far away. Their influence was crucial, helping me navigate a new environment and fostering my understanding of what life has to offer.

In Worcester, these mentors became a second family, providing the guidance and support I needed to navigate my career path. They took on the responsibility of showing me the ropes of professional life, instilling in me the values and skills that have been instrumental in my success. Among those I am deeply grateful to are Marcia E. Green, Tyler H. Collette, Andrew Cravedi, and Jose Lugo. Their unwavering support and mentorship were essential in shaping me into the entrepreneur and police officer I am today.

As I reflect on the present, I recognize the continued support from a remarkable network of individuals who endorse and guide my entrepreneurial endeavors. These mentors, including OJ, my firearms instructor, Sean Kelishadi, His Royal Highness Prince Dani, Dave Martel, Jeremiah Alexander, and Johann Thrall, have elevated my efforts to unprecedented levels. Their knowledge, mentorship, and support have been invaluable. Additionally, my best friend, Paul Rodriguez, has been a constant source of encouragement and support through college and life, sacrificing much for my sake. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all these remarkable individuals, cherishing our friendships and looking forward to our continued achievements together.
