Meet Jess Rosenbluth | Co-founder of el3ment

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jess Rosenbluth and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jess, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The thought process behind starting my own business was recognizing an unknown and unmet need and having the courage and network around me to pursue creating it.

What should our readers know about your business?
el3ment is an invite-only, curated platform for musicians to connect and collaborate globally. Our community is 95% independent musicians, including Grammy winners and nominees. We remain invite only in order to keep the level of musicianship and professionalism high as our member benefits off platform include distribution, global music camps, catalog sales, sync and our upcoming AI music creation suite.
We saw a rise in global music, with genres like Afrobeats gaining recognition and India’s music industry becoming more independent. Trends in technology and marketing enable artists to remain independent without label services but many of these tools were US based only. We identified the need for a professional network for musicians to collaborate and grow their fan bases authentically at a global scale, focusing especially on emerging markets. Thus, we built the el3ment app to facilitate global collaboration, fostering a supportive community without location and language barriers.
Today, I’m most excited about our AI toolset. Our global community and collaborative music-making have allowed us to train our model with diverse sounds, filling a gap in current open-source models.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My favorite way to enjoy time with people and explore any city is through walking around neighborhoods and sharing meals together. LA has such a diverse food scene and I love that each neighborhood offers its own authentic style, cuisine and culture. When people come to visit I usually kick off the morning with something active.. a hike, morning coffee walk or a workout. I was recently introduced to an insanely energetic and fun/hard workout class called Burn Collective in Brentwood, it is now on my list of “must do” in LA, so shout out to them for sure. The rest of the trip really depends on who is coming into town, I try to curate each visit based on their personalities and interests. It could be the beach, museums, events or just bringing people together.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are so many podcasts, books, experiences and people that have helped me along this journey it feels wrong to single out any in particular. However, big shout out to my current team!
I will share a little fun fact about how the company name el3ment was created. el3ment came about through the combination of my business partner and my favorite books combined. Hers was “The Alchemist” by Paulo Coelho and mine was “The Third Door” by Alex Banayan. Element seemed fitting to pull as an encompassing word towards what we set out to create, being the building blocks behind any matter. We changed the second e to a 3 to represent the third door which emphasizes bravery and unconventional ways of doing business.
