We had the good fortune of connecting with Tonanzint Cristobal and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tonanzint, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
This business idea was birthed during a time of prayer between my husband and I. The Holy Spirit put it in both of our hearts to put my nursing skills into practice by creating this CPR business – Legacy Life Skills. Our goal is that we will use this business to help fund local and international mission trips, help expand the vision of Brian Bolt World Evangelism and Hope & Promises. We also would like to teach these life-saving CPR skills across the globe.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Legacy Life Skills is determined to save lives, one heartbeat at a time. We are committed to do so by partnering with Hope & Promises, a non-profit organization dedicated to humanitarian outreach. Together, we provide vital food, supplies, and essentials to individuals and families in need. With 10% of every class dedicated to supporting life-saving missions worldwide, we’re not just teaching skills; together, we’re shaping a legacy of compassion and profound impact.
We have not achieved all our business goals yet. However, during this process we have learned perseverance and commitment is key to seeing success in a business.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
First and foremost, I would take them to CityReach Church to experience the power and love of Jesus. Then we would eat at Flame Buffet in Whittier. I love their food and prices! We would have a bonfire at the beach with s’mores and worship. I would also take them along any evangelistic outreaches we are doing through the church. We would visit All You Can Eat Sushi & BBQ and grab some coffee at Alchemist Coffee Project. We would visit my hometown, San Pedro, and show all the local spots such as the Korean Bell, Point Fermin Park, Le Grand Salon, and grab food at Niko’s Pizzeria. We would also go to Manhattan Beach, grab pizza at Brooklyn Brick Oven Pizza, grab ice cream at Manhattan Beach Creamery, and walk alongside the beach. Lastly, we would have some fun at Spo-cha!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are several people I will like to recognize. First, I give thanks to Jesus Christ for giving me the gift of salvation and showing me His eternal love. I would not be the woman I am today without His love. I also would like to thank CityReach Church. Since attending this church in 2018, my senior pastors, Pastors Brian & Natalie Bolt have been pivotal roles in supporting my goals, encouraging me to grow in my faith, and pursue this business. Lastly, I am thankful for my husband, Joey, for always affirming me and pushing me to pursue God. My husband has been key in seeing the success in our business.
