We had the good fortune of connecting with Donte Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Donte, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
It honestly started with me having a lot of ambition and just wanting more for me and my family. I never liked having a ceiling and in many routes there are ceilings, but in entrepreneurship there is none. So before i knew what i was going to do i knew i would have my own business at some point.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
So I run a few different businesses but my main ones is I run a Marketing firm Called WHLE marketing. I also run a mentorship program centered around financial literacy called WHLE trading group.

The thing im most proud of is the mentorship program because of how many lives i have been able to impact from helping people create more streams of income and just to get educated in areas that are not highlighted enough in minority communities.

Where I am today in business is thanks to where I come from truly. Obstacles in business seem so little when I compare it to obstacles in life that I have made it through. So I have a unique and strong perspective on what “problems” are. So nothing has been easy at all, but everything has been exactly the way it should for me to grow and become the business man i am today.

One of the biggest lesson I’ve learned in business is the importance of setting boundaries. When you work in the business of helping people and genuinely loving that sometimes you can over give and put yourself in some tough situations because unfortunately everyones heart is not pure.

What I want people to know about my brand is that Profit is not our main motivation, its the profit we want others to achieve. Our success is others success and we lead with that in our actions and activity!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Ok so being from philly we dont have beaches and just the entire look of LA is just amazing when you from the east coast. So first stop we are going to santa monica. Got to show them the beach and the pier. Im taking them to cabo cantina down there because the have the biggest and best margaritas lol. Then of course we have to goto hollywood blvd because we have seen it on tv our entire lives so got to get that out the way 😂. We have to go see the hollywood sign so a hike is on the tour for sure. We will be hitting alot of brunch spots, I dont really do the club scene much but I would to entertain my friend so thats going to be some random spots I know nothing about. I would take them to the grove to go shopping and I think thats it😂.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to give my shoutout to my mom. If it wasn’t for me being able to watch her fearlessly fight through all her trials in life and come out on top i wouldn’t be the fearless person i am today. I also want to give a s/o to my city philly, growing up there you have to be built different and if you can make it from there you can make it anywhere.
