Meet Stephanie Bernal | Owner of The Frozen Cart

We had the good fortune of connecting with Stephanie Bernal and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Stephanie, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind a successful business would definitely be having a supportive family! Your village is what will let you thrive in your business . By village I mean everyone literally from your husband to your grandparents to your in laws . They have all have been a huge part behind this business of mine, I mean without them – I wouldn’t be able to do this considering I have a 3 month old and a 3 year old. It’s a wild ride but I am proud to say we are doing the damn thing! Having a successful business also comes with having a positive and constructive attitude towards the entire business process. Choosing to seethe positive side in every situation no matter the circumstances. Having a positive attitude and mindset can affect every aspect of your business ,and help tackle those difficult circumstances/ challenges that we as business owners go through

What should our readers know about your business?
The Frozen Cart – our nostalgic ice cream parlor gives my clients an unforgettable and unique experience at their events! whether it be from a private school event, to a wedding , baby shower or first birthday our carts serve just as is creating wondering memories that match their party theme perfectly! By that being said we try to personalize as much as we can, details matter to us ! I am most proud of myself – being a wife , daughter and mother of two can def be overwhelming however having a supportive system plays a huge role in a successful business. I left my full time job as a police dispatcher when I was about 8 months pregnant not knowing what I was going t0 do once I had my baby ! Many emotions running through my mind as I left my dispatcher job- it was not easy but knew it Was something that had to be done, being In a PD is high demanding and requires long hours of work- 12 sometimes even 16 hour work days -couldnt imagine leaving by newborn so young. However when this opportunity came across my path ,I was nervous not knowing how I would start a business, grow a business or even get bookings?! Considering I always had” job” I knew nothing about being a business owner! with the help and guidance of my sister in law she made sure we would get this done! Here we are now , striving and thriving through it all. I get to stay with my babies, be a part of many special celebrations, all while creating unique experiences for my clients. Wouldn’t be where I am today with my amazing clients trusting me and putting my business in their budget when they plan their special events. One thing I would tell the world is scared money don’t make money, go all for it or not do it at all. Trust the process.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Disneyland is definitely on my list! Eat, drink and enjoy a full day of Disney! IYKY- I’m a huge Disney girly so this is on my top list!you can never go wrong with a nice little trip to Disneyland – pus I think this is a place almost everyone would want to go especially if they are In town! The beach – we love a good ole beach day! Santa Monica beach has my heart , stay at a local hotel for a few days , visit the shops , shop at some of our favorite stores and have a nice dinner at NOBU or RED-O, current faves at the time! Some fun things to do would would also be a nice hike to the Hollywood sign and attend a dodger game! Cant visit LA and not see the boys in blue

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My village! Without them I wouldn’t vibe where I am today. Whether it be my husband who helps me with events, my parents or in laws helping with the kids or my sister in law Layla who is also an event planner herself – also there to help guide me and answer any questions I have for her! They are all amazing and play a huge role in this business of mine!
