Meet Hasika Neethi | Artist, Singer, songwriter, Performer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Hasika Neethi and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Hasika, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I took a daring leap of faith when I left my home in Chennai, India, to chase my dream of becoming an international popstar. With just two months to prepare, I packed my bags and flew across the world to Los Angeles, a city known for its vibrant music scene and endless opportunities.
Originally, I planned to stay in Los Angeles for only a month. But as soon as I arrived, I realized this city was more than just a temporary stop—it was where I was meant to be. I quickly found myself working with Grammy Award-winning producers and renowned engineers, and it became clear that this was my true calling.
The risk has already begun to pay off in remarkable ways. I’m now being managed by someone who has worked with legends like Michael Jackson and Prince, a testament to how far I’ve come. I’ve also had the incredible opportunity to perform on Hollywood Boulevard, a milestone that has further solidified my place in the music industry.
Currently, I’m working on new music in Los Angeles, Atlanta, and London, expanding my creative horizons and continuing to push boundaries. Each risk I’ve taken has been a step toward realizing my dreams, and I’m excited to see where this journey will lead next.
This adventure from Chennai to Los Angeles has not only been a career move but a powerful reminder of the rewards that come from believing in yourself and daring to dream big.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
From my early days in Chennai to making waves in the global music scene, my journey has been a remarkable adventure. I’ve had the privilege of working with some of the most esteemed names in the industry, each step propelling me closer to my dream.
My music has been distributed through major labels including Sony Orchard, Universal Music Group, and Hitmaker. I’ve collaborated with acclaimed producers and engineers such as Riley Urick, known for his work with Chris Brown and Tyga; Ervin Pope (EP), a two-time Grammy Award-winning producer with credits including Kendrick Lamar and Michael Jackson; and Bob Horn, a multiplatinum mixing engineer with a roster that includes BTS and Usher.
Throughout this journey, I’ve discovered the vast expanse of my own creativity and the complex processes involved in professional-level recording. Working in iconic studios like EastWest Studios in LA—where legends like Frank Sinatra and Michael Jackson have left their mark—and Skip Saylor Studios, renowned for its work with Beyoncé and Justin Timberlake, has taught me invaluable lessons about the meticulous nature of the recording industry.
One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is patience. Developing my unique style of music takes time, and understanding that the harder I work, the faster I’ll see results has been crucial. My experiences have shown me that growth in this industry is gradual, and perseverance is key.
My songs have been crafted in over ten top studios across Los Angeles and Chennai, each contributing to my growth as an artist. My management is in the capable hands of Donnie Graves of NCompass International, who has an illustrious history managing tours for Michael Jackson and Prince, as well as major tour sponsorships for artists like Black Eyed Peas and Rihanna.
This journey has been one of immense learning and achievement. I’ve embraced the complexities of music production and the patience required for artistic development. As I continue to pursue my passion for music, I am excited for what the future holds and the further evolution of my craft.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
One of the things I love most about Los Angeles is the incredible energy of the people here. It’s a city where everyone is driven and passionately chasing their own dreams. I’m constantly inspired by the group of like-minded individuals who are all pushing and supporting each other as we navigate our own paths toward our goals.
When it comes to my favorite drink in LA, nothing beats the Bubble Tea from Boba Zzing. I’m hooked on their Seasalt Tiger Sugar Milk Tea—it’s the perfect blend of sweet and savory that always hits the spot.
As for my favorite places, there are a few that truly stand out. The overlook where you can see the entire city of LA at night is breathtaking, especially when the fog rolls in. It’s a serene spot that offers a moment of calm amidst the hustle and bustle of city life. Malibu Beach is another place I cherish for its peaceful ambiance—it’s a perfect escape that instantly helps me relax and unwind.
For hanging out with friends, The Grove is my go-to spot. Its beautiful architecture and charming fountain create such a pleasant atmosphere that makes it an ideal place to spend time with those close to me.
These experiences and places have made LA feel like home, and they add so much joy to my daily life in this vibrant city.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a heartfelt shoutout to everyone who has been by my side through this incredible journey. A special thank you goes to Riley Urick, the first Grammy-nominated producer to take a chance on me when I first arrived in Los Angeles. Your belief in my talent was a pivotal moment in my career.
I also want to extend my deepest gratitude to Bob Horn, a Grammy Award-winning engineer who agreed to mix my music as a completely new artist. Your confidence and support have been instrumental in moving me forward.
This journey would not have started without both of you, and I am forever grateful for the role you’ve played in making my dreams come true.
