Putting My Happiness and Being Ashly First What do I mean by that? Since having kids, I lost myself in the roles of being a stay-at-home mom and wife. I struggled with pretty severe postpartum depression after the birth of each of my three boys and constantly felt like I was in survival mode. I believe, for me, the most important decision I made was moving to Los Angeles. I was raised in Kensington, CA which is a small town in the Berkeley Hills in the SF Bay Area and I spent 30 years of my life there.
