Meet Kimberly Foo

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kimberly Foo and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kimberly, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success and the success of my brand is the combination of hard work, passion, and the unwavering support and values instilled in me by my parents. Every day, I reflect on my “why” and find joy in creating content that helps businesses and the people behind them. My parents, both immigrants—my mom from Mexico and my dad from Malaysia—have taught me the importance of perseverance, integrity, and giving my all in everything I do. Their example has given me the confidence to stand out, try new things, and pursue what I love with dedication and purpose.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I always knew I loved storytelling, helping others, and creating a positive impact, even if it meant getting out of my comfort zone for a good cause! I am Mexican and Chinese, and I’ve always longed for representation in the media, at school, and in professional settings. I knew that if that was something I wanted, I also needed to step up to the plate and be the representation I needed when I was younger.
I got into content creation in 2021, initially driven by my love for travel and a desire to capture those memorable moments. As I traveled more, I started learning the ropes of editing and diving into marketing strategies to improve my content. What began as a way to document my adventures quickly evolved into a passion for creating and sharing engaging content. Now, as a content creator, I help businesses and individuals scale, gain new customers, and grow brand awareness. One campaign I’m most proud of was when I worked with Fossil, a brand I grew up loving. I was able to speak about my personal style, routine, and dreams for the future. Being accepted and acknowledged for being my true self is priceless!
What sets me apart is my dedication to showing up every day and encouraging those from different backgrounds to explore spaces they’re curious about or want to learn more about. Inviting friends, family, and my online community of over 25k to join me in my content collaborations has been really special.
It hasn’t been easy. I face imposter syndrome every day and often ask myself how this all happened. However, being invited to events or to work with brands I admire gives me the confidence to keep going and always show up as my authentic self. I always return to my “why,” and that’s what keeps me motivated. This is truly only the beginning. I’m constantly learning, failing, and practicing my craft. For the future, I hope to grow my brand and business, inspiring others to pursue their passions and be their true selves.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
When my friends visit me in Dallas, there are some absolute must-dos! We start our adventure in the Bishop Arts District with a visit to Hola Cafe for some delicious coffee and a light snack. After indulging in our treats, we wander through the charming neighborhood, soaking in the unique shops and vibrant street art. Given my passion for art, we make sure to explore the Dallas Museum of Art and the Dallas Contemporary to immerse ourselves in the city’s rich cultural scene.
Dallas is famous for its incredible food, and I love recommending standout spots like St. Rocco’s in Trinity Groves, Casa Blanca in Bishop Arts, or El Paisano for mouthwatering tacos and refreshing horchata. To stay active, we join the Oak Cliff Run Crew or Run It Up Dallas for a refreshing 2-3 mile run around the city—both are fantastic ways to experience the local running scene and meet some of Dallas’s most vibrant community members.
I also have a passion for dancing, so we’ll check out the best spots to groove, whether it’s Te Deseo, The Balcony Club, or any special event happening that weekend featuring Latin music, Afrobeats, jazz, and more.
To cap off our visit, I always take them to the Reunion Tower Geodeck at sunset for breathtaking panoramic views of the city. If we have a bit more time, catching a performance by the Dallas Symphony provides a perfect finale with world-class music.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to give a shoutout to my friends Zain and Eduardo. Their belief in me from day one has given me the confidence to pursue a creative path. Both of them knew from the beginning that they were creatives and pursued their passions while earning their higher education degrees, despite pressures from their parents and society pushing them in another direction. I admire their determination to stick to what they truly love and succeed in it! They’ve provided me with invaluable tips and advice, continuously pushing me to know my worth, create quality content, and, most importantly, have fun. Watching them relentlessly live out their passions and turn their dreams into reality through videography, photography, and business inspires me to reach the next level. We’ve been friends for over 10 years, and I can’t wait to see what we’ll create in the future!
