Meet COOPER PHILLIP

We had the good fortune of connecting with COOPER PHILLIP and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi COOPER, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I started my business because I genuinely wanted to share my knowledge and experience with singers and artists, particularly from my home country, Russia. Initially, I had no idea that my insights were so unique and needed. As a child, I was diagnosed with asthma and turned to singing in hopes of alleviating the condition. Through singing, I discovered proper breathing and phonation techniques, which not only helped me heal completely but also empowered me to help others overcome similar challenges. This journey inspired me to start my business and share these life-changing techniques with a wider audience

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I embarked on my journey as a recording and performing artist, winning over 50 singing competitions between the ages of 10 and 17, which earned me a green card in the United States as an extraordinary singer. Music has always been a constant in my life; I began playing piano and harp at age 6 and spent 14 years obtaining a formal education as a contemporary singer and musician. Throughout my singing career, I discovered a passion for teaching, vocal coaching, and vocal producing, realizing I could simplify and convey complex concepts with ease.
Working with people during my immigration journey was a beacon of inspiration during the darkest and toughest first couple of years in the United States. I arrived alone at 19, with no resources or knowledge of the English language, yet I found strength in my passion for music and teaching.
Looking back at the 19-year-old girl with a big dream, I can hardly believe how far my teaching career has taken me. In the past five years, I’ve visited over 30 countries and worked with more than 50,000 singers.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Zuma Beach in Point Dume, Malibu, is my favorite hangout spot in LA. I always take friends visiting from different countries there, and their immediate reaction is to want to move to Los Angeles.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d love to give a shoutout to my incredible best friend, Thuany. A young entrepreneur from Brazil, she came to LA with a dream to create a sports collection for women, designed to make them feel sexy and confident whether they’re working out or dancing. Thuany has an amazing heart and a passion that’s truly inspiring.
She’s a genuinely caring person with a big heart, a stark contrast to the many self-centered and insincere people I encounter daily in LA. Her influence on me is constant and profound. She’s incredibly supportive and never judges me, embodying the true essence of friendship.
