We had the good fortune of connecting with Bradley Remorie and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bradley, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
We have all been involved in music from a young age, each of us in our own way. There was simply no other option for us. This is what we’re passionate about and what we’re good at. When we got together as a band, it was clear that this was a perfect match, both creatively and professionally. We’re incredibly happy to be able to do this together.

Choosing to pursue music isn’t easy—it’s always a fight to make your way in the scene. But for us, the choice between this and a standard job was an easy one. It keeps things exciting and pushes us to stay sharp as musicians and as a band. The creative process is unmatched; coming together to create something new, something that didn’t exist before, has always been the driving force for us. Creation, as a musician and as a person, is the most beautiful thing there is.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As a band, we see ourselves as storytellers. We love creating narratives through our music, and there’s nothing quite like the excitement of diving into a new idea and finding ourselves immersed in a fresh story and the music that comes from it. What makes us unique is our ability to craft these stories while also giving our listeners the space to interpret and fill in the gaps with their own perspectives. That balance of narrative and personal interpretation is what truly sets us apart.

Our approach is inspired by David Bowie’s advice: “Never play to the gallery.” We believe in stepping out of our comfort zone, pushing ourselves just beyond what feels comfortable. This ensures we’re constantly challenging ourselves and creating something meaningful. It’s often a process of trial and error—failing, trying again, failing, and pushing through until we achieve the success we’re aiming for.

The journey hasn’t always been easy. It’s a constant balancing act of having fun, staying driven, and doing what we love. If it’s not enjoyable, no amount of hard work will ever lead to satisfaction. By combining passion with a willingness to take risks and adapt, we’ve reached a point where we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished. We’re grateful for the opportunity to share our stories and connect with our audience in such a profound way.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We’re proud to come from Kortrijk, a small city with about 80,000 inhabitants. It has everything a big city can offer, but without the overwhelming hustle and bustle. Kortrijk has been the birthplace of almost all our ideas as a band. Songs, album concepts—many of them took shape in our favorite hangout, Café HOF, where we’ve often performed and worked out our ideas for albums and tracks.

We also draw a lot of inspiration from films. For that, we often go to the alternative BUDA cinema, where they screen old classics like our favorite movie, Thelma & Louise, as well as new documentaries like Mutiny in Heaven: The Birthday Party.

This city has given us so much inspiration that we named our new album White Residence after the oldest apartment building in the city. It’s a beautiful art deco building, constructed around the early 1900s. We built an entire fictional story around it, which served as the concept for our new album, set to be released on October 18th.

Kortrijk is deeply ingrained in our identity, and there’s nothing we can, or would want to, change about that.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We’d like to dedicate our shoutout to Jolien Wilke. She’s our graphic designer, photographer, and everything in between. Her name is rapidly rising in the Belgian scene, and it’s well-deserved. Jolien has a unique perspective on the graphic aspects of the scene, which makes her work stand out. She has believed in the band from the very beginning and has never let us down. We’re always on the same page, whether it’s about designs, photos, social posts, or anything else. Many people take these things for granted, but finding someone like Jolien is far from easy, and we definitely don’t take it for granted. We’re incredibly grateful to have someone who has had unwavering trust in what we’re doing from the start.
