We had the good fortune of connecting with Misti Morgenstern and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Misti, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
Starting in the wedding photography business, I expanded my services to include photo booths and ushers as part of my wedding packages. With a background in high-end bartending, I had extensive hospitality experience, and I noticed that the staff at weddings often lacked reliability and proper qualifications.

While launching my soap company, Savage Soaps, I realized the broader need for professional staffing, especially for product demos in grocery stores. To get my soap on the shelves, I needed skilled demo staff. This sparked the idea of offering not just staffing, but a comprehensive service that includes meticulous coordination and organized teams to deliver exceptional results.

What should our readers know about your business?
What makes me most proud of Elevate Event Staff is our remarkable growth. We’ve expanded from offering a local service in a single location to providing staff in over 10 locations across the United States. The feeling of knowing that we can create opportunities in so many places is incredibly rewarding.

One of the biggest challenges we’ve faced in this journey is learning how to keep up with technological advancements while maintaining the essence of a local service. It’s a balancing act—staying ahead with the latest tools and systems while ensuring our personal, community-focused touch remains intact.

Our primary challenge, however, lies in ensuring we can provide enough opportunities for our preferred team members to improve their lives. This commitment drives everything we do at Elevate Event Staff.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Morning: Start with coffee and a croissant at République on La Brea.
Afternoon: Visit the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA). Don’t miss the iconic Urban Light installation.

Lunch: Head to Grand Central Market in downtown LA for a wide variety of food stalls. Eggslut’s breakfast sandwiches are a crowd favorite.

Evening: Check out The Broad, a contemporary art museum with free admission. The Infinity Mirrored Room is a must-see.

Dinner: Enjoy a meal at Bavel, a modern Middle Eastern restaurant. Their lamb neck shawarma and hummus are top-notch.

Night: Finish with cocktails at Perch, a rooftop bar offering panoramic views of downtown LA.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to shoutout my team, Isabella Galeazzi, and Grant Morningstar, for doing such an amazing job of providing measurable results through contemporary business efforts. Isabella does an amazing job managing the event staff team and ensures clients needs are met to to the highest expectation. While Grant uses his extensive marketing background to ensure high traffic, visibility and engagement to our service. It’s great to have a young, high performing team.
