We had the good fortune of connecting with Corey Weiss and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Corey, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
When I embarked on the journey of starting my own business, two pivotal thoughts guided my decision. First, I was driven by a passion for innovation and disintermediation. Throughout my career, I’ve been deeply invested in harnessing technology to reshape consumer behavior and create more direct and efficient connections between people and the solutions they need. I saw an opportunity to disrupt the status quo and pioneer new ways of thinking, which fueled my entrepreneurial spirit.

Second, I was inspired by the belief that “If you want something done right, do it yourself.” This idea crystallized during my time at a previous company where my vision for the future wasn’t embraced. I realized that to bring my ideas to life, I needed to take the reins and create a business that aligned with my vision. In entrepreneurship, it’s crucial to have the courage to trust your instincts and forge ahead, even when others doubt you. Success often requires blocking out the noise of cynics and naysayers, staying true to your vision, and being relentless in the pursuit of your goals.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Although I’ve spent much of my career working within organizations, I’ve always seen myself as a solopreneur—a business within a business. My personal brand has been something I’ve cultivated with great care, always grounded in integrity and a commitment to growth. I define my brand as “Artist, Scientist, Humanitarian,” and this combination of identities is what sets me apart.

As an artist, I bring creativity and vision to every challenge, focusing on differentiated innovation that stands out in the market. I approach problems not just with conventional solutions but with imaginative and forward-thinking strategies that push boundaries.

As a scientist, I rely on my analytical mindset to bring rigor and precision to my work. I believe in the power of data and analytics to validate ideas, guide decision-making, and ultimately drive success. This scientific approach allows me to transform creative concepts into practical, actionable plans that deliver measurable results.

Finally, as a humanitarian, I put people at the center of everything I do. Whether it’s understanding the needs of consumers, building strong relationships with colleagues, or fostering partnerships with business associates, I make it a priority to connect on a human level. Empathy and genuine care for others are the cornerstones of my approach, ensuring that my work positively impacts those I engage with.

Getting to where I am today hasn’t been easy. There were challenges along the way, but each obstacle was an opportunity to learn and grow. I’ve faced moments of doubt, setbacks, and tough decisions, but perseverance and a commitment to my core values helped me overcome them. The lessons I’ve learned—staying true to myself, embracing challenges as learning experiences, and maintaining a balance between creativity, logic, and empathy—have been invaluable.

What I want the world to know about my brand and story is that it’s not just about what I do, but how I do it. My journey is a blend of artistry, science, and humanity, and it’s this unique combination that defines who I am and what I stand for. My work is a reflection of these principles, and I’m passionate about continuing to innovate, inspire, and make a meaningful impact.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I often tell people that if you were to drop New York City off the Empire State Building and let it splatter, you’d get Los Angeles—everything you want, just spread out. With that in mind, when my best friend visits, I love to craft an itinerary that captures the diverse essence of LA, starting downtown and making our way to my favorite spot—the ocean.

As an Art History major in college, I have a deep appreciation for the arts, so we kick off the adventure with a visit to The Broad or The Geffen Contemporary, two of the best modern art museums in the city. These spaces offer a fascinating glimpse into contemporary creativity and set the tone for the cultural journey ahead.

Next, we head to the Griffith Park Observatory, which, in my opinion, offers the best panoramic view of the iconic Hollywood Sign and the sprawling city below. It’s the perfect place to soak in the beauty of LA while getting a little perspective—both literally and figuratively.

From there, we’ll make our way through the neighborhoods that define LA’s unique character. We’ll start in Hollywood, with its vibrant energy, then cruise through the trendy streets of West Hollywood, past the luxury and glamour of Beverly Hills, and into the laid-back yet sophisticated vibes of Brentwood.

The journey continues toward Santa Monica, where the ocean breeze and bustling pier capture the quintessential Southern California experience. Finally, we reach Malibu, my favorite spot, where we’ll take a leisurely stroll through the Malibu Country Mart—an ideal place for a bite to eat and a bit of shopping.

The day wouldn’t be complete without ending it on the beach, watching the sun set over the Pacific. There’s nothing quite like a California sunset to wrap up a perfect day in LA. It’s a moment of tranquility that perfectly contrasts with the excitement of the city, and it’s the kind of experience that leaves a lasting impression on anyone who visits.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Growing up in Los Angeles, watching The Oscars was a cherished tradition in my household. I was always drawn to the speeches, particularly those moments when people took the time to publicly thank those who had helped them along their journey. It resonated with me deeply because I’ve always believed that success is never a solo endeavor—it truly takes a village. And for me, that village is my family.

My grandmother, who was a hero in my eyes, epitomized the qualities I aspire to—intelligence, kindness, humility, and an unwavering work ethic. She set a powerful example of what it means to live a life of integrity and purpose. My parents were the cornerstone of my upbringing, providing me with unwavering support, boundless encouragement, and unconditional love. They were the first to believe in me, and their faith in my potential has been a guiding force throughout my life.

My siblings played a pivotal role in my journey as well. They recognized my individuality and encouraged me to embrace my authentic self, pushing me to pursue my dreams without hesitation. Then there’s my wife—my rock, my partner, and the most thoughtful person I’ve ever met. She has a heart of gold and inspires me every day to be the best version of myself. Her love and support have been instrumental in every success I’ve achieved.

And finally, my son and daughter—they are my greatest gifts. Everything I do, I do for them and my wife. They inspire me to reach for great heights and fill my life with immeasurable joy. Their presence in my life is a constant reminder of why I strive to be better, to achieve more, and to leave a lasting legacy.

These incredible people deserve all the credit and recognition for the role they’ve played in my story, and I am forever grateful for the love, support, and inspiration they provide me each and every day.
