We had the good fortune of connecting with Mounika Haftavani and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mounika, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
Some habits that have helped me succeed are time management, a healthy lifestyle and continuous learning. Planning out my days, and time have been crucial in ensuring I allocate time for my clients, family and myself. This goes hand-in-hand with maintaining a healthy lifestyle by including exercise, a balanced diet and a positive outlook. Lastly, the real estate market is always evolving, so staying updated with the latest trends, market conditions and new technologies has been vital. I attend workshops, seminars and invest in continuous education to keep myself informed and ahead of the curve.

What should our readers know about your business?
My business is centered around helping people find not just a house, but a home where they can build memories and a future. With over two decades of experience in the real estate industry, I bring a deep understanding of the market, an unwavering commitment to my clients, and a personal touch that sets me apart. What truly differentiates my business is the focus on relationships over transactions, and the personalized approach I take with each client ensuring their unique needs and goals are met with expertise. I’m most proud of the trust my clients place in me, often returning for multiple transactions or referring me to their family and friends. It’s incredibly fulfilling to know that Ive made a lasting impact on their lives.

My journey in real estate began in 2002, and its been a path full of learning, growth and preserverence. I’ve faced challenges from navigating economic downturns to balancing the demands of being a Mom and wife. However, these experiences have only made me more resilient and stronger. I’ve learned that success in this industry is about adaptability, taking calculated risks and always putting client’s needs first, as well as staying true to your values and staying authentic.
I’m driven by passion and integrity, and my work ethic and business speaks for itself. whether I am guiding someone through their first purchase of their home or consulting on an investment strategy, I am committed to excellence, trust and a level of service that is unmatched.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My Favorite spot in the city and must visit is The Americana in Glendale! Start off with having coffee & breakfast at Le Pain, walk around and do some shopping at some of my favorite stores, like Alo, Nordstrom and Anthropologie and then watch a movie there, and grab lunch at Amici or Ombra and finish off the day at grabbing ice cream and walking around Barnes & Noble. Another favorite of mine is driving down to Malibu and checking out the Getty Museum, and then afterwards heading to Malibu Country Mart, just the drive alone is so beautiful and serene , and there are great restaurants, shops and a play area for kids. And of course the beach is just a few blocks away!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I love meeting new people and reading books because it expands your way of thinking and you learn so much. A couple books that really stuck with me and has been beneficial in my life have been, The Book The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R. Covey and The Compound Effect by Darren Hardy, both great reads!
