I’d like to share a bit about my experience with my short film, “Bienvenidos a Los Angeles,” (Balafilm.com), which was Oscar-Shortlisted for the 96th Academy Awards in the Best Short Film category. Margot Landen

One thing outsiders might not know about the photography industry is just how incredibly close-knit and supportive it is. While it may seem like a competitive field, it’s actually more like a big, friendly community. We’re always passing along gigs to one another when we’re double-booked or offering advice on everything from gear to editing tricks. Photographers love to share knowledge and celebrate each other’s successes. It’s like a creative family where everyone’s rooting for one another, and we’re all in it together, learning and growing as we go. It’s a place where competition is friendly and the support is real.
