Meet Jamie Hart | Singer and Vocal Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jamie Hart and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jamie, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
During the pandemic, professors and coaches all turned to zoom to work with clients. This opened my mind to the possibility of working with singers from all over the world, and not be limited to being location dependent. I also have an insatiable wanderlust and dreamed of working from anywhere in the world. I also don’t love the idea of working for someone else the rest of my life, knowing the financial potential of scaling a business.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As a singer, I’ve had quite a varied career. I have two degrees in classical voice and studied opera pretty extensively, while knowing in my heart I was more passionate about being an original artist. When I moved to Boston for my masters, I started a band, made my first EP, and began touring. I continued to record and make music videos, but like so many artists, had to work hard to financially support the dream, so burnout eventually ensued requiring me to take an extended break. I was pursuing my dream, but feeling unhappy. I needed to evaluate what I was doing and why. But while breaking from touring with my original project, I found fulfillment fronting soul and blues bands performing throughout New England. I’ve come to realize that as long as I am singing and making music with amazing people, I feel happy. So life now is balancing my performing life with my coaching business. I have plans on releasing a new original single this winter

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I am a firm believer in getting support, and I have done so much healing and evolving with therapists and techniques like EMDR, Somatic healing, breathwork, yoga, and EFT Tapping. I also have hired coaches to help up-level me as an entrepreneur and coach in order to learn how to scale my business. And of course, some very special voice teachers along my path that got me to where I am today. The holistic approach is what I feel makes us fully well rounded and successful.
